    Holy cow at the replies. Thank you! You've all given me a lot to consider. To answer the question about monitors, I'm already running a Predator X34. I should have listed that in the original message. Sorry about that!

    I may not buy new, but I tend to look at the new price when I'm making a decision like this since, worse case, I'll be paying full retail price.

    Current specs that matter: Asus MAXIMUM VII HERO 32 GB Corsair Vengeance EVGA GTX 1080Ti 11GB SC Black i5-4690k ...and some SSDs I'm for sure bottle-necked on the CPU when I'm doing any GPU-intensive gaming. As best I can tell, the only "upgrade" at this point is capping out the CPU with an i7-4790k. Those run about $360. So, how far will that $360 get me at this point? Is it even worth it or should I save the money and put it towards a new build?
