SnipingPandaz got a reaction from Enderman in Good thin&light laptop
Yeah, maybe 4000$ is a bit overkill. I shall look into the XPS15. Thanks!

I'd would like to point out that the undervolt would be for the CPU and not the GPU. No current custom bios supports GPU undervolting cause nVidia has that option LOCKED the fuck out.
Wait, so you mean you need to repaste the Macbook Pro 2016 AND undervolt it to get it running at it's rated spec? Like how the 6920HQ can run at 4.0ghz with it's turbo bins unlocked by runs at 3.1ghz on a Macbook Pro? Wait you mean you can't raise the turbo bins on the Mac side and REQUIRE Windows to do it? Wait you also can't undervolt on Mac and REQUIRES Windows to do so? And you need to run a script so that it sticks on the Mac side? Shit.
You also mean that the 460 in the highest end Macbook Pro is 60% slower than a 1060? That the 1060 is almost 140% FASTER than the 460.
It does not.
Well in your humble opinion what kind of laptop should a "power user" buy. Please enlighten us with your informed opinion on Windows laptop. This is an actual question and I would like to know what you think.

I was reading and found this
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/5429-63-system-config-info-error
1. use a friends windows 7 to create a repair disk
2. set bios to boot from dvd drive instead of hard drive
3. cancel microsofts autofix tool and open the msdos command prompt after booting from the repair disk
4. realize that the repair tool makes a temporary drive called "X://" that you start in
5. cd over to the "D" drive which was REALLY my "C" drive.. lol wtf
6. type in bcdboot d:\windows /s c:\
7. reboot, you'll be fine.
I would try this and see what happens, I have personally never ran into this issue.
