  1. The thing in the image is the old radio, the new amp in the Amazon link should be pretty new, and it has Bluetooth. my question is: can and how do I attach the speakers wire to the new one? Do I need a plug and how do I solder it if I need it? english isn’t my first language, sorry if I’m not clear
  2. So if I buy this one https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Amplifier-Wireless-Receiver-Adapter/dp/B072Q157FY/ref=sr_1_26?keywords=audio+amp&qid=1574674311&sr=8-26 I only have to put the cables inside from behind and they'll work?
  3. Hi guys, my old radio broke in a storm probably from the power coming and going. The radio has two big speakers which are still working (tested them holding the cables on a normal jack). Those speakers have only two wires coming out from each, a black and white one. Looking for a cheap amplifier on amazon I saw: https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Amplifier-Wireless-Receiver-Adapter/dp/B072Q157FY/ref=sr_1_26?keywords=audio+amp&qid=1574674311&sr=8-26 It has the right wattage and resistance for the speakers, but it has what looks like female rca on it, how do I connect it? I can buy cheap rca male plugs but then how do I solder? in the schematics I found rca has 2 cables per plug while I only have one per plug... Hope I was clear and thank u in advance for the help guys Edit: the photo is of the back of my old Radio
  4. Thank u! hopefully I finally got it? first I did a chown with www-data but then I could't edit the files from the host system, then figured out that I had to undo the chown and instead use the chgrp. Also realized that I got php 7.2 by default but one of my plugin weren't compatible and were throwing out errors.
  5. Wow, thank you Seems I somehow managed to make it work: apache, php and mysql are working, now I only have to deal with permissions, when i move folders in the root of my webserver i can't access them, it says Forbidden, but if i create a new folder and put a index.php file there i can access it no problem. Should have something to do with users, groups, and permissions. I'll try to dig more tonight
  6. Hi, thank u for the answer, I'm using it mostly on my Mac on which I'm planning a clean install of Catalina in a week or two if there aren't too many bugs... it has only 128GB storage and 8GB of Ram so I was hoping for a VM that takes around 4GB of storage and 512MB of ram... That's why I was looking at a linux distro, I thought that since a lot of people use those for webservers it would be easy to deploy one on a VM. Unless I run the Vm with windows xp I doubt I can run both system simultaneously with just 8GB of ram...
  7. Hi everyone, I work with some websites locally, where I try things out before putting the changes online (a couple Wordpress and a prestashop). I used Mamp on my Mac machine or Xamp on my old windows to launch a local web server but since lately my Mac isn't in a good shape and I had to reset my windows machine more than once in the last 6 months I thought that using a virtual machine as a local web server would be easier for backup/moving it and wouldn't require much resources. I tried using ubuntu server, Manjaro and Debian, but I get lost in all the commands to install and start the various services or when I finally get something working I can't access the web server folder cause I don't have permissions or something. I followed guides and tutorials but still can't get it to work. Never used linux and I have basically zero knowledge of how these services works (ports, versions, etc) as well of how linux handles tasks, services and permissions. I'm looking (if it exists) for a distro and/or an app like Mamp or Xamp that handles installation, configuration and permission for me through an interface. Basically a one click setup of the web server with a folder and a phpMyAdmin, do u know of one? This is something I do at a hobby level beside work and unfortunately I don't have much time/money to invest in it. Thank u everyone
  8. Hi everyone, I have my Desktop PC since 2011, an Acer Predator G3600 my parents bought me, the specs right now are: -Intel® Core™ i7-2600 quad-core 3.4Ghz -Nvidia GTX 1050 TI 4GB -500W Power Supply -512 SSD + 2TB HDD -6GB DDR3 RAM (3x2GB) Everything except the SSD,HDD and GPU are the stock ones. This machine had been giving me some problems for the last year, but nothing that was a "game breaker", sometimes it was slow and sometimes windows was throwing errors with the updater(I was running Windows 7), but the HDD inside had eight years so I figured it was that... About 6 months ago I bought the 512 ssd(is a Crucial MX500) to replace my old OS HDD, after switching the ssd as boot drive my pc didn't turn off anymore. Windows would turn off correctly but the motherboard would stay powered(no disk activity). It was a fresh install of Win7 so I thought maybe it was a driver or something, so I cloned my old drive on the SSD but it didn't change anything. I tried to update to Win10 but it kept failing so I got a windows 10 license, from another pc that I converted in a linux machine, and installed that(fresh install) but the system still didn't shut down completely. I had 2 computer businesses "check" it and neither could find why the pc didn't shut down properly. If windows is on a HDD it turns off correctly even with the SSD plugged in as a secondary drive, but if windows is on the SSD it won't turn off. In the end I gave up and after windows would turn off I just used the power button to shut it down completely. at least it was running much better than with the old HDD. Last week I powered it on and after a while(10-15min of Minecraft) it completely froze: no mouse or keyboard response, screen perfectly still and even trying caplocks or numpad didn't turn on or off the light on the keyboard. Shut it down by pressing power button and rebooted I played Minecraft for 1-1.5 hours without any problem. but since then at random it freezes completely, sometimes I'm playing but it also happened with nothing running and just being on desktop, sometimes after 1 hour sometime right after boot. No event in the windows log except that it rebooted after a "incorrect" power off. Did a memory test(no problem found), a clean Win10 install, and a complete avast and AVG scan but it still does it. Any idea what might be the cause and how to solve? PS: Italian here, hope my English isn't too confusing... Honestly I thought of getting a new desktop and retire this one since it's 9years old, but a new desktop with -Intel® Core™ i7-8700x six-core 3.2Ghz -Nvidia GTX 1050 TI 4GB -500W Power Supply -1TB HDD -8GB DDR4 RAM https://www.amazon.it/HP-Pavilion-595-p0002nl-Desktop-Naturale/dp/B07DG4BNLT/ which I think isn't really that much better than mine is around 1200$ here... and I didn't want to spend more than a month a half of salary for a new PC that isn't even a real upgrade...
