  1. Hi, I'm trying to setup port forwarding on my router but its getting confusing so i was hoping someone here could clarify a few things as google hasn't helped and it's really stressing me out. I need to setup port forwarding for hunt showdown as lately ive been getting pings of 10000 when on EU servers. after trouble shooting this i've found the solution is to setup port forwarding. i have found the TCP and UDP numbers that need to be used but when i go to my router (BT Business Hub 2) it doesnt have anywhere to put these numbers but it does have 2 sections. One section say Internal Port with 2 boxes named "Start" and "End" and the other section is named External Ports with the same "Start" and "End". I'm assuming this is where i put the TCP and UDP port numbers but i dont know which box/boxes are supposed to have each number. This may be completely wrong but since everything on google throws jargon that i dont understand i have got no closer to figuring out how to actually set this up. can anyone shed some light onto this for me
  2. didn't think to use aorus engine, it has confirmed i'm using F10. is there anything i should be aware of when doing the bios flash that could trip me up? i've never done one before?
  3. after having some issues with my Gigabyte Aorus RTX 2080 Xtreme with the fans not spinning up when i restart my PC and now if i leave my pc on and it goes into sleep mode it just power cycles and cant get past VGA until i turn off the pc entirely then wait a minute before switching it back on for it to post i have been advised to update my VBIOS. I went to gigabytes website to download the VBIOS but there are 2 versions. One is F4 which is for F3 Bios Flash and the other is F11 for F10 Bios Flash. at the bottom of the page it says: Please note: You can only update to a VBIOS version of the same series.Visual C++2008 is required for this BIOS flash. If your VBIOS version is: F1, it can only be updated with VBIOS versions F2-F9. F10, it can only be updated with VBIOS versions F11-F19. F20, it can only be updated with VBIOS versions F21-F29. I am assuming then that if my bios version is between F1-F3 i use F4 and if my bios version is F10 then i use F11? The problem is when i used GPU-Z to find out my Bios Version it tells me it's 90.04.0B.80.1C and i'm getting the same information from display settings in windows and in Nvidia control panel Help!!!
  4. also i just checked my rig and my girlfriends an we both have separate 8 pin cpu connectors. not sure why i thought they we 8+8 pins
  5. hopefully i've helped, my friends are moaning at me now to get onto hunt showdown so i'm going to have to bail at this point but good luck with the rest of it and enjoy the world of pc gaming
  6. there does seem to be conflicting information about how many to use. some people say you only need one and others say if your mother board has 2 then you need to use 2. i've always populated both on mine
  7. looking at it you might only need one of those. what cpu are you using? one cable will deliver 300w which is usually more than enough so you might not even need to bother with the second
  8. not sure why they are 2 separate cables but after a little checking apparently thats quite normal. use both but make sure they are definitely labelled cpu as you dont want to use a pcie or gpu power cable for the cpu
  9. yeah your 2 8 pin connectors plug in on the top left using a single cable that goes into your psu. you also have a chunky 24 pin connector that goes in on the right side of your board
  10. awesome, plug all case fans into that and then plug the fan hub into one of the sys_fan connectors on your mb. just make sure its a fan hub and not an rgb controller. and dont force anything if its not going in easily
  11. no, there are 4 pins on the fan connector and one of those pins are ground. if you connect the fan connector upside down then the ground wont be going into the ground. that diagram shows what each pin on the 4 pin does. so with the cpu fan the ground is the pin on the far right however with the sys fans the ground pin is on the left (thats why on the diagram it has a little 1 on the right of the cpu_fan and the 1 is on the left of the sys_fan, this is because pin one is the ground pin). when you look at your fan cable make sure the ground pin goes into the correct hole (you can usually tell because the 4 thin wires going into the connector will have 1 wire a different colour, if you dont have that then see if it has any markings at all. this shouldnt be an issue too much as you shouldnt be able to put it in upside down but just check the cable first for any indicators). your fans dont need to get power from the psu they get it from one of the pins
