    Well, this is the last day for the folding event. 
     
    I'm fairly happy with my results from Folding@Home month. Just over 30 million points earned and I managed to stay within top 100 for the team (lifetime - currently rank 94). Little disappointed I couldn't manage to stay in the top 100 for the event, but that's just because there were so many dedicated folders this year it was hard to keep up!
     
    The team did exceptionally well this year! Over 17 BILLION points earned for the event which is just crazy! Almost tripled last years results of around 6.5 Billion.
     


     
     
    Can't wait to see how we do next year
     
    Big thank you to everyone who participated this year whether you earned 1 million points or 500 million. Also big shout out to @GOTSpectrum and @Gorgon for the daily stats and organising the event, as well as everyone in the community who donated prizes to be given away.

    I have read conflicting things about CPU folding.  (Not really going to deep dive into the issue personally.)  On the one side, I hear that the CPU just doesn't perform that well vs. the GPU so why bother stressing it thermally, etc. at all.  The other side seems to be people claiming that CPUs are sent different types of problems to solve and that while they generate less points, that there are certain science problems that they are actually better at solving and so including them is actually helpful.

    Just in case anyone would want to know this...
     
    If your web client will not run for the folding program... (for some people it just auto refreshes every few seconds and does not display properly) just open a private web browser (i.e. incognito mode or whatever) and go to https://client.foldingathome.org/
     
    It works that way just fine.
