  1. I've personally had a great experience with Xiaomi products, currently running a Xiaomi Mi11 Lite 5G. I'd like to put forward the Xiaomi 13 Pro. OS wise, it's running MIUI14 (Global release) so running Android 13 and from experience, I've had at minimum 3-4 years of main OS support with 5-6 (my previous device) security updates. Unlockable Bootloader so you can install a custom OS, like I have. Supports all but 1 of the NA cellular bands Listed under "Network & Connectivity" Still supports Google and all its services & obviously can sideload apps too. Repairability is usually great, iFixit has carried some key parts like glass and batteries but it is pretty easy to find basically everything you'd need to replace anything either through local suppliers or even AliExpress (I had to replace my fingerprint sensor and rear glass on my Mi11 and a number of batteries over the years). Fitted with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 3 Leica camera sensors, all 50MP and from my experience with other devices that family use, the main MIUI camera app can have the beauty modes turned completely off and doesn't overly process images or video. Stabilisation is good but not great. A function enabled in settings allows for fast access to the camera by double pressing the volume down key too.
  2. I know for a fact from the logs of the client that I should have around at least 250k points for today, yet the stats show different. *Bashes stats servers* Work dammit!
  3. I think this may be my last day of full folding It's just too expensive for me to carry on. My usual electricity bill is about £470p/m but this month's bill has just come in and it hurts. £617.82! ? I would love to carry on but I can't afford to. The old hardware is just inefficient and I'm trying to save up for a new graphics card in the first place... I have to say, well done to everyone who has contributed! The team and the community here have truly thrown everything they have at the competition and research to the betterment of human kind.
  4. @LogicalDrm Sorry, I didn't read them thoroughly enough, my fault! Just quickly read the rules and then posted as I thought it interesting during a quick work break.
  5. I find it astounding that the silicon industry is still managing to push the existing limits of it's technology. The latest technology to push the fold is EUV Lithography.
  6. Just as the competition is ramping up. Temple Uni's servers are getting bogged down again.
  7. Going by what GamersNexus has to say, don't go for the 'i' iterations of NZXT's cases, they're simply not worth the extra cost - GamersNexus (11 Oct 2019) - NZXT's Smart Device Doesn't Do Anything | CAM ANR Deep-Dive GamersNexus (17 Oct 2019) - Bloatware Benchmark: RGB Software vs. Performance (iCUE, CAM, & More) The GPU is still very good and unless you're gunning for something like ray-tracing, it's not worth really worth upgrading in my opinion. Also, it might be worth holding off considering the rumours of Intel's discrete graphics cards being out in the wild by the end of next year. They could be the extra competitor the GPU space needs to get prices and improvements kicked into higher gear.
  8. Just wish to share a little news that Folding@Home has put up- foldingathome.org - BONUS RECREDIT
  9. Considering that I'm not folding 24/7 placing in the top 500 ain't bad to start. Placing 452nd so far. Just need some money for my new bottleneck as I ripped most of the guts out of my old system to put in the new build. My graphics cards are pretty old... ?
