    The Windows installation i am using now runs from RAM Disk,

    I even removed the USB drive it was loaded from and it still working 😄

     

    I had to remove a lot of stuff from Windows so it will fit in RAM and have headroom for running software.

    I ended up with a 2GB sized Windows install.

    I recommend GSmartControl for reading SMART data, I often find that Crystal Disk Info doesn't display the correct values.

    GIGABYTE in their infinite wisdom positioned the NVME drive on my board exactly under the GPU, So if a GPU with 2 or more slots is installed - It will exhaust hot air directly unto the NVME drive. Is that a problem?

    Tech Tip:

    If you are gonna install crap on your computer that installs services that run in the background - Do that in a sandbox or virtual machine.

    The more services you have running in the background the higher the idle VRAM usage.

    For that you could use Different SLI Auto, But SLI is no longer supported and doesn't work in most games.

    Yep, It's possible that Synapse is doing stupid things with the RAM/page file.

    I see the lack of an option to skip/select the installation of dependencies as problematic. ViGEmBus for example is used in many applications such as DS4Windows, DsHidMini and BthPS3, etc, So it's possible that the version of ViGEmBus that is packaged in the XboxOGKit installer is not compatible with other programs installed on the system that depend on ViGEmBus , Especially when devs happen to abandon a project and just stop updating it. Also earlier versions of ViGEmBus and libwdi support older operating systems such as Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, So XboxOGKit may actually work on those operating systems. Yeah i know, some devs don't care about backwards compatibility but at least having the option to install dependencies independently from XboxOGKit would be nice.
