Thanks for the info @OrionFOTL, though it looks really confusing. I had noticed that the XTR2 was identical to the ULTRA Prime, which in turn uses the same Focus platform. Now I can only hope that the Focus problem is absent on this model as on the NZXT models (although I have seen a report that the units in the store I bought come with that "solution" of cables with a capacitor).

I am following up on a question I posted in the thread about Seasonic Focus issues where @LukeSavenije clarified that this model is probably a Seasonic Prime Gold. Still, I would like to know more about the origin of this model because I could not find much information about it (not even on the manufacturer's website). The model in question is XFX XTR2 550 (P1-0550-XTR2), Full Modular 80 Plus Gold. Here's an image of it taken from the site I intend to buy: As you can see, it's a bit different from traditional XTR. I compared the specs to the Seasonic website, and apparently it's the same as the PRIME Ultra Gold 550W model. If so, this is a good power supply. I just would like to hear a few more opinions so I am sure of the purchase, which will come out in the same price range as a Corsair CX550. Can someone help me?

Thanks for the feedback. So does it fit the Tier A+? That would be amazing but hard to believe. For reference, the purchase I refer to costs the same price range as a Corsair CX550, and a RM550x costs about 50% more at the same store. And yes, it's a reliable store, not a scam, just a promotion. It is difficult to find information of this specific model, I only found review of XFX XTR and none of XTR2 (not even info on the official site). Perhaps this is the case of moving the issue to a new topic so as not to deviate from the subject here.

I was thinking of buying the following PSU "XFX XTR2 550 FULL MODULAR GOLD 80PLUS (P1-0550-XTR2)" and heard that it is a rebrand of this Focus model from Seasonic. This is true? Can you tell me if the risk is the same? The price here is really attractive, so maybe I will end up buying it because it would use with mid tier GPU anyway.
