  1. Yeah there are massive discrepancies in availability and prices of headphones between NA and europe. Anyway if you know of more decent ones for games and media don’t hesitate. I appreciate the suggestions.
  2. It’s more than I’m willing to spend sadly.
  3. First let me thank you for this thorough answer and your suggestions, they are very much appreciated! now about the akg k240 they include replacement velours pads it seems, would that not suffice to make them more comfortable? and cheaper overall... the philips shp9500 does look perfect... unfortunately it is out of stock everywhere i’ve looked (live in europe), and the sivga 007 is not widely available around here either. Anyway, as far I know, which is not much, the k240 does look like a decent and somewhat affordable option to me. I am mostly worried about it not being suited to my casual use, games etc and causing discomfort after hours of use. The superlux 668b is even more value but not very comfortable apparently..
  4. Thanks. Would you mind telling me if you recommend the AKG K-240 MkII for general use like music, movies, games and so forth? Do you find it comfortable enough even after hours of use?
  5. Hi. I have heard that open and semi-open headphones are generally more comfortable for prolonged use than closed ones - is there any truth to this?
  6. What about the gigabyte gaming x? The aorus elite is praised but that one barely gets mentioned.
  7. For games (not competitive) and general use. I’ve used a small crappy tn monitor for years, don’t really know what’s popular these days. <$400/€350 ideally. Ty.
  8. Is that so? I’m currently looking at the qvl for tomahawk max + ryzen 3000 and getting really confused. Thanks for clearing that up, sorry for hijakcing the thread.
  9. Cheers. I looked up the ram you mentioned up on my mobo qvl list and it’s not there, not sure if that matters though.
  10. Is it worth it going for a more expensive 3200c14 set in your opinion?
  11. Hi. I’m either going to rock a) 250gb nvme + 1tb 2.5 SSD or b) 1tb nvme before purchasing though I’d like to know about nvme’s reliability and endurance compared to regular sata SSDs? Are they worth it for general use and gaming (not dealing with huge files on a daily basis) and is their temp. a problem? Ty.
  12. Is that so? I had thought of opting for a 3700x just to be safe with the next generation of consoles right around the corner. The “keep the $150 and upgrade in 2/3 years” argument is lost on me as I have no intention of doing so for at least five years. I have to admit though I’d love to be told with a high degree of certainty that the gains in game in the future will be marginal, if that. Would be easier on my wallet! Unfortunately based on what I’ve read it is not as easy to tell.
  13. Wouldn’t a 3700x be a better choice if one wanted to keep their cpu longer?
  14. Thanks for the info. Low noise while idle is kinda my priority here. For instance the three front intake fans being relatively quiet while the exhaust one spins at 100% kinda defeats the purpose here doesn’t it. I mean yea it would reduce noise significantly but still, I would very much like to have control over every one of them while I’m at it. Idk if that’s clear.
  15. ...because there aren’t enough fan headers on the motherboard for me to control all of them
