  1. Sound more like a poorly shielded or underspeced cable. Try switching the cables the monitors are using and see if the problem follows the cable? If it still happens the monitor might just be more sensitive to EMF and you should still try a higher quality cable marked DP8K.
  2. Same thing happened to me for like a day and a half. Pausing and unpausing did nothing as did restarting. I ended up shutting down until the next day. Now its back to normal.
  3. I'm still having download issues. I think it may have something to do with the NBN "scheduled" "maintenance" they did midday yesterday. The audio on my conference calls has been dropping in and out. I'm also having trouble with emails downloading. Ahh Aussie internet. What a blast.
  4. Does anyone know what specific model they were? I was trying find out if they used SATA or SAS. The amazon link goes to a list of drives.
  5. I think i have found my problem. 11:08:18:ERROR:WU00:FS00:Exception: Failed to connect to 129.213.40.229:80: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. I have tried to ping this server from my laptop, the folding PC as well as my mobile internet but none can reach it. EDIT: It looks as though it has been reassigned to a different server. It is in the middle of downloading. 11:16:04:WU00:FS00:Connecting to assign1.foldingathome.org:80 11:16:07:WU00:FS00:Assigned to work server 206.223.170.146 11:16:07:WU00:FS00:Requesting new work unit for slot 00: READY cpu:9 from 206.223.170.146 11:16:07:WU00:FS00:Connecting to 206.223.170.146:8080 11:16:23:WU00:FS00:Downloading 3.41MiB 11:19:03:WU05:FS01:0x22:Completed 3650000 out of 5000000 steps (73%)
  6. No but, after a quick search of what that is, sounds like i should be. I have just tried manually pausing and starting the slots and a complete reboot but it still sits in ready/download.
  7. I can't even get WU's right now. My CPU and 2 of 3 GPU's are sitting idle in ready/download.
  8. I only realised that I got a DM as I was looking at a 5400 vs 7200rpm HDD comparison. Turns out LTT Fourms is one of the few sites that doesn't by default want to spam your inbox.
  9. I fold when my mum's pizza dough needs heat to rise or during times when it's cold in my room. Figure it's a better use of energy than just using a portable heater. Also sometimes just because.
