So. i tried to overclock an msi gtx 970 gaming gpu. but i may have done a stupid. i progressed by 50s to 300+ clock speed over clock. and a 150 memory. at which point even after tuning back down. any time an application that made use of the gpu would be launched about a third of the screen was covered in a black bar. im not sure if it was just overheating and this was an anomoly or if this card is just now a unexpected highly functional very posh paper holder for my very windy bedroom :D. thanks for any replies
