  1. No. Maybe 13.9", but not 13". That's just too small to actually use in my lap. USA. Obviously better battery preferred, but I can get by with ~5 hours on a single charge.
  2. Obviously, more battery life is better, but realistically I only need to get 5-6 hours of use on a single charge. I don't need dedicated graphics, as gaming will be kept to a minimum (some light League and Overwatch at most). The MX250 on the Inspiron 7000 is not necessary, but it's a welcome plus. I don't mind having a display that isn't top notch, so average sRGB to slightly below average would be fine. But I don't want the display to be actively bad either. I probably care more about brightness than sRGB. Thanks for your help!
  3. Hi all, new to the forums and looking for a sanity check/to see if I'm being an idiot. I need a new 2-in-1 laptop for grad school, and I basically only have 2 requirements: it needs to be in the 14"-15" range and it needs to have removable ram (so that I can install 32GB afterwards). On my old laptop, I would frequently push 20+GB of RAM usage, so I know 32GB sounds like overkill, but for what I'm doing it really helps. My gaming/graphics needs are pretty light, as I have a desktop at home, but I'd like for it to run some League and Overwatch on low-medium with 60fps if possible. In terms of processor, I'll be doing some occasional Monte Carlo simulations for school, so I don't want it to totally drag, but I certainly won't be doing any video editing or stuff like that. My max budget is $2000, and to be blunt, I don't mind spending more for quality. I've been searching around and, from what I can tell, my only options are the Dell inspiron 7000 line and the HP Envy x360 line. I went to Best Buy and tried out some of their models and I liked the keyboard/touchpad and construction of the Inspiron better I think. The stylus feel on the inspirons was really great in particular. I'm thinking of getting the Inspiron 7000 15" 2in1 Black edition (the 7590 model) for the 4k screen, better battery, and built in pen storage, as those are all tangible pluses for me. Am I being an idiot here getting this machine? I know on paper it's not really great value, but it seems like the one that fits my needs. Is there something else out there that makes more sense? Are there some problems with this machine that I should be aware of? Any and all input would be welcome. Thanks all for your help!
