  1. About the mobo, you can choose whatever you like. Some people say, that cheaper mobos are the way to go, I am the opposite. I like to pay premium for the nice looking motherboard, nice rear I/O etc. Waiting at Ryzen 4000 could be a looong waiting. AMD has no reason whatsoever to push the release of their new generation, They are kings at this moment and Intel won't even touch them, not even with 10900K. Speculations are, that the Ryzen 4000 will be available around end of Q4 2020 or start of Q1 2021. But, that can of course change with Nvidia's Ampere GPU release. Maybe AMD will push their NAVI 2.0 GPUs along with their new CPUs before Nvidia, to claim the performance crown. I would not be even surprised, if the the new AMD GPUs would run somehow better with the new AMD CPUs as opposed the combo of Ryzen 4000 + RTX 3000.
  2. Feeling the same way. I have the money, to buy 4,000 EUR PC, but to build it now, would be an insanity. 3Q/4Q should come out new GPUs, new Ryzen CPUs. I originally wanted to build the PC for the Cyberpunk 2077 release, but if I would have to wait a month or two for the new components, I would do that.
  3. All I care about is the release date. I want to build a beast of a PC in the September/October this year, given that the Ryzen 4000 will come out around that date as well. As it is looking right now, the release of RTX 3000 around that September/October would make the most sense. People will have money for it and NVIDIA has to release their cards before AMD releases theirs. Q1 2020 doesn't make sense at all, as people will be saving after holidays. Ryzen 4900X + 3080 Ti would be a lovely to have.
  4. Budget (including currency): 4000 EUR (excluding monitor) Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Newest games, especially upcomming Cyberpunk 2077. Streaming, video editing. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a little bit of dilema right now. My GPU (780 Ti) died at me yesterday in the night (09.05.2020) after 7 years of day to day service. I "baked" the GPU and made several stress tests after it and the GPU runs atm good, but the question is for how long. I wanted nonetheless to buy completely new rig at the September of 2020, so I would have new PC for the Cyberpunk 2077 release. But with the upcomming news about the RTX 3000 cards, I am not so sure, if it is wise to buy right now a 2080 Ti with watercool block for the complete watercooled system. Or is it better, to buy f.e RTX. 2070 Super and sell it later this year and buying f.e. RTX 3080 Ti? Of course I know, I would loose some money in the process. Below, you can find 2 different tables, with the components. Once build with an RTX 2080 Ti + watercooled components and once with RTX 2070 S. I have a version with AIO components, but honestly, I do not want to go in the AIO. Same goes for the Intel option, but since the i9 9900K + mobo and AMD Ryzen 9 3900X + mobo has exactly the same price, I would rather go for the AMD. I could save that money, and buy later this year a GPU from RTX 3000 series. I hope, that I would not loose that much money, by selling the 2070 Super. I as well assume, that selling 2080 Ti, when the new 3000 series will be out is almost impossible, without loosing literally hunderds of EUR. Thank you guys so much for your help and advices!
  5. Hey man, I will be building a new PC, just because of this game and I have found some articels about the new RTX cards from Nvidia, which is supposed to be released latest in the summer of 2020. Therefore, if I would be in your position, I would just either buy in April 2020 2080 Ti from EVGA, because of their step-up programm, or wait entirely for the new line of GPUs in the summer. I will certainly buy as my latest component the GPU in April 2020 and apply later for the step-up and buy "3080 Ti" so to say.
  6. It has no VESA mount and frankly, I do not care. I am one of those people, who does not need VESA mounting. I can't have 2 monitors next to each other and I am not extremely tall person, so really no need for it. You and all others seems to forget, that most of the marketed IPS and VA monitors are really not true 144Hz displays, because the pixel response time itself is too slow, therefore you are not getting the full experience. IF Razer manages to really have great pixel response times like f.e. LG 27GL850, but here, the brightness of the panel is more like TN, so it has it's drawbacks. Basically all I am saying is: If the panel is true 144Hz with it's color accuracy and it's brightness, it is really great monitor to buy. The fact, that it has not "true Gsync" is a non factor for me, because adaptive sync work just as fine. The only catch here, is it's HDR400 certification as it is not really a great HDR experience, but for example, if you would play with PS4 on this monitor, it is still better as no HDR at all.
  7. What do you guys say at it? I have read 2 reviews so far and both has been positive. Mostly because of it's color accuracy and really great response times. Some are even highlighting the measure peek brightness with HDR content over 480 nits (still not great HDR, but at least they are delivering ABOVE the certification). I will wait at Linus, Rtings and one other YT channel to review this and based upon that, I will buy it or not. But so far, I am like 70% inclined to buy this. P.S.: Please refreain from comments of type "it is Razer, it is overpriced piece of garbage what will brake in 2 months". Thank you!
  8. Dude, I get your frustration, but let's be honest here. You are so enraged, because your entry is really strong, you spent a lot of time with it and now it goes to waste. We all get it, BUT.... I do not know how old are you, or if you are just not used to it, BUT.... before you do ANYTHING, read the Terms & Conditions, you will safe yourself a lot of trouble and/or at least a lot of time. About the point, that they could mention it somewhere, you are right, they could, but you could as well click on the Terms & Conditions first, before spending time with your entry. Simple as that.
  9. I am kinda certain, it is not about your nationality, but rather the point of current residence.
  10. Hi guys, after some time, I decided to enter the contest in the category "best international candidate". As said in the video description, I am not the best content creator, but still I figured, I can try. Some feedback would be appreciated guys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBZqhzuRUyY
  11. Well, I want to build a PC around March 2020, to have it ready for Cyburpunk's 2077 April release, as well, I need to save some money for it. And I am starting to suspect, that it will be literally the dumbest time to buy the parts for it. Okey, maybe the CPU with Ryzen 3rd gen is a safe choice, but on GPU side of things, it is a nightmare. IF Nvidia is going to release a new version of 2080 Ti at the end of this year, I am okey with that, because at that point, I would buy a GPU which would be a 3 months from it's release. But if Nvidia releases nothing and planns to release the 7nm cards later in 2020, I would be pissed. I am planning to game at QHD 144Hz monitor, but for that, I still need 2080 ti to push those 144 fps constantly. Any advice?
  12. Hi guys, I noticed, that Linus is up for the ultrawide gaming monitors and that he is currently using Asus PG35VQ, which costs around 2,500 USD. What about reviewing ASUS RoG STRIX XG438Q? It is 43" VA panel, with HDR 600 certification and it runs at 4K, 120Hz, rocking the price of 1,200 USD, which is half of the PG35VQ, so it could be the midlle ground from the standard gaming monitors around 800 USD and the very high end in PG35VQ. Give it it a try!
  13. Hi guys, after 8 long years, I am planning to sell my old rig and build completely new one, based around upcomming game Cyberpunk 2077. I am saving for quite some time, therefore I am aiming for the high end products, which should be a little bit future-proof. If I would buy the components now, this would be my build: Case Lian Li PC-O11D Razer Edition €169.90 AIO Thermaltake Floe Riing RGB 360 TT Premium €174.90 Fans Lian Li BR120 Digital RGB PWM Fan 3er Pack + Controller €49.90 Fans Lian Li BR120 Digital RGB PWM Fan 3er Pack + Controller €49.90 PSU Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 850W Platinum €164.90 Motherboard MSI MEG Z390 ACE €284.00 CPU Intel® Core™ i7-9700K €399.00 RAM G.Skill Trident Z Royal 16 GB DDR4-3200 Kit €147.90 GPU ASUS GeForce RTX 2080 Ti ROG STRIX A11G Gaming €1,269 SSD Samsung 970 EVO 1 TB €239.80 Monitor Asus ROG Strix XG438Q €1,199.00 Total summ €4,148.20 The overall theme of the build is supposed to be cyberpunk-ish looking. In cyberpunk world, there are bright neon lights etc. and as I have all my peripherals from Razer, I opted for the the Lian Li O11D Razer Edition. As for cooling solution, I went with AIO from Thermaltake and fans from Lian Li, as they are working great in the Razer ecosystem via Synapse. I still hope, there would be an AIO from the Lian Li itself, that would be great. As from the power of the build itself, I opted for the i7-9700K, as I really do not see benefit of i9 CPU with an almost 200€ additional cost. Strictly for gaming, 16 GB of DD4-3200 CL16 RAM should be enough, I am aiming to upgrade in the future of 2020 up to 32 GB. The GPU has been for me nobrainer, as I want the best at the market, for a reasonable price (looking at you Titan RTX). With all this components, I am hoping to achieve stable 60 FPS/60 Hz at 4K with the maximum graphic settings in the game itself for the "panoramatic" gaming experience. When I would opt to play something more demanding in the terms of refresh rate, I would play in 2560x1440 resolution with 144Hz or 120Hz, based upon the monitor available at the time. And this makes a nice segway to the "problem" of mine, the monitor. Agh, the monitor. As it is right now, I am currently playing some titles on the PC and some on my PS4 Pro and I am planning to buy PS5 eventually. Therefore, when I would buy a gaming monitor, I would LOVE to have 4K resolution, higher refresh rate at least at 120Hz and good HDR experience (at least VESA HDR 600 certification). But as it is right now, there is just one monitor available at the market for the normal price (under 1,500€), the Asus ROG Strix XG438Q, which has no G-Sync, but AMD FreeSync 2 HDR. I would be okey with that, BUT, the monitor itself has HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.4, therefore, you can't play in 4K 120Hz with 10-bit color. Does it even make sense, to buy such an expensive monitor, when there is really no future-proof aspect in it? I mean, with the new consoles, there should be HDMI 2.1 with much higher bandwith. therefore better experience and really future-proof features. The whole build with the monitor should be MAX around 4,200 €. Well, that's it. I would love from you guys, to hear some suggestions to the build and some advices about the monitor situation. Thank you!
