  1. I was wondering about this, my old rig died because of a tensión spike causing the PSU and the multi socket adaptor to die (my instalation is really crappy), from then on I always cut current during night and when I am not home just in case. I dont know what's worse ?.
  2. Hi, I hope you can help me, I've tried every step in the header of the forum but so far nothing has worked. My Desktop Rig has 5 years and is composed of: Windows 10 pro x64 asrock h87 pro 4 PSU fsp raider 80 plus silver 650w I7 4770 never oced 2x4 ddr3 RAM g.skill 1600mhz Also I have to admit mainteneance wasnt good, I havent cleaned dust in a year or so. The problem is that the PC seems to boot normally (fans and leds turn on so mobo seems to work) but I cant get any input from peripherics (USB, dvi, hdmi) so no screen nor mouse/keyboardb to do anything with the PC, cant acces BIOS to. Something strange is that MOBO doesnt make any beeps, so it doesnt seem to be making it to the bios, yet it still powers up and lets power go to the fans. I've tried every step on the header of the forum and I can conclude: PSU doesnt seem to be the issue as PC boots and everything has power. Totally disconnecting the Mobo makes the pc have no power, so it still works somehow CMOS reset didnt solve the situación All peripherics work on other computers GPU cant be the issue as I tried with an old GPU that works perfectly and problem persisted (also led and fans turn on normally). Hard drive works perfectly on drive reader. mobo doesnt make any beep so probably the issue is there (even wont beep when booting PC without RAM). I suppose it's down to CPU or Half dead mobo. But if you could give me some tip or confirm the diagnosis so I could start thinking about building a new rig, I'd be thankful. Also, if repairing requieres a new mobo or CPU it would be difficult as socket 1151 is discontinued and it would have to be second hand and probably costly here in Europe. Thanks in Advance!
