  1. I completely forgot about that video. Thanks.
  2. 1. more noise protection 2. third floor balcony in low crime rate city
  3. Waterproof might have been a bad way to put it. I was refering to the air intake. Of course that wouldn't mean that I would be able to throw the case into a lake. Sadly the "open design" of my apartment doesn't allow me to place it in another room.
  4. You're right. This would be a major problem. I never thought of using Anti-freeze. This might actually be the solution I was looking.
  5. Unfortunatly my flat's layout doesn't allow for that.
  6. Also I doupt that it would be cheaper (considering the prices for custom water cooling loops) that would be my second alternative. I would still prefer to throw it all outside though. Basically my only major concern is whether condensation inside the system is likely. For reference: I live in Germany and we have medium humid summers.
  7. I haven't thought about that. I could find a way to get around that. Thanks. Maybe somebody here tried something similar and has got some experience.
  8. What is your main concern? I would build a DIY case and have some experience building a waterproof air intake. Is there any other aspect than rain water that you would consider to be a problem?
  9. Is it possible to run a PC outdoors My apartment has a balcony right next to my study. Dew to my PC it's getting quite warm during the summer. I was wondering if I could put my PC into a waterproof case on the balcony. I guess I would have to bring it back inside during the winter month when the temperatures reach below 0°C. Has anybody got any experience with this sort of thing? Would it be wiser to just have a waterline running through the wall? Edit: I would also like to place my small media server in the same enclosure to reduce the noise inside the house.
