  1. Budget (including currency): ~1000 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Adobe Photoshop Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Peripherals probably need, likely an ips moniter not sure if that will be included in the pc budget I am trying to spec out a pc for an art student friend who will be utilizing the pc primarily for Adobe Photoshop. They might eventually need to run Lightroom on it but i am not sure at this moment. I am not too familiar with what components will affect the performance. I'll list what kind of parts I am thinking of right now. I know with the new release of part coming this fall will affect pricing and this build will be coming to life around November or December. Current Build parameters: - Itx form factor - Minimun of 6-cores (8-cores if budget will allow) most likely ryzen unless intel has a better deal -16 gb dual channel -GPU unsure how this will affect -SSD M.2 for storage (wanna do 1 TB but will drop to 500 GB if budget call for it) -PSU wattage will increase or decrease based on GPU-CPU combo I am looking for what part of the computer I need to make sure I maximize my money spend and what areas I can cut back on without loosing performance in editing. I am leaning towards using the NZXT H1 case because a majority of components do come with it for simplicity; cooler, case and psu. I am open to build suggestions or just some education on how Adobe Photoshop operates. Thank you!
  2. With a apex running I'm only going to about 400 mHz and my memory reaches 800 mHz.
  3. Hey all! I have a Lenovo Y510P laptop running a sli GT755m graphics set up. Recently, I was doing some upgrades to the laptop (hd to ssd and new ram) and decided to replace the thermal paste and pads on the motherboard CPU and GPU chip. after reassembling my laptop I noticed my GPU frequency is was under it's base, 135 mHz instead of ~900 mHz. I cleaned off the old thermal paste with rubbing alcohol (91%) and used arctic mx-4 thermal paste. I double check all the connectors and everything is properly plugged in no kinks. Any advice on how to fix this will be greatly appreciated.
