  1. Thanks mate I'll keep that also in mind for my friend's build
  2. Are any of these good alternatives? MSI B450M Pro-VDH Plus - PHP 4430 / $85.19 MSI B450M Gaming Plus - PHP 4850 / $93.27 MSI B450M Bazooka Plus - PHP 4950 / $95.19
  3. Sadly no, but if that's the best one to go with from the bunch I gave, I'll go with it Should I stick with the Gigabyte B450I Aorus Pro WiFi (mini-ATX) - PHP 6500? Or go with either the MSI B450M Pro M2 V2 (PHP 4220 / $81.15) or MSI B450M Pro-VDH Plus (PHP 4430 / $85.19) plus the TPLink TL-WN881ND 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Express Adapter for PHP 600 / $11.54?
  4. The cheapest B450 I can find available online at this time is the MSI B450M Pro M2 for PHP 4200 / $80.77 And I found a TPLink TL-WN781ND 150Mbps Wireless N PCI Express Adapter for PHP 480 / $9.23, or I can also get the TPLink TL-WN881ND 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Express Adapter for PHP 600 / $11.54. (If this is a viable option, I might also suggest this in the Nebula MK I build I'm helping my friend with if they aren't able to pay for a motherboard with WiFi built in.)
  5. I went and looked at the list and check the online shop if they offer anything in Tier B. Just wanna verify if Cooler Master MWE 550W 80+ Bronze for PHP 2990 / $57.50 is decent enough. Or if I should go look for something else. I also found: Corsair CX500 500W 80Plus Bronze Power Supply - PHP 3180 / $61.15 Corsair CX600 600W 80Plus Bronze Power Supply - PHP 3540 / $68.08 Cooler Master MWE 650W 80+ Bronze - PHP 3620 / $69.62 Corsair CX Series CX550M 80Plus Bronze Modular Power Supply - PHP 3750 / $72.12 Seasonic M12II-620 EVO 620Watts 80Plus Bronze Full Modular - PHP 3950 / $75.96 Seasonic Focus Gold 550FM 550watts 80+ Gold semi modular - PHP 4020 / $77.31 Corsair CX Series CX650M 80Plus Bronze Modular Power Supply - PHP 4050 / $77.88
  6. Thank you for your suggestion, I'll get the 8GB 2800Mhz instead, and upgrade to the 16GB kit later on How about the rest of the parts?
  7. Should I go for something with less wattage? Maybe get Thermaltake TR2 S 500W 80+ White Power Supply instead for PHP 1950 / $37.50 from another online store? Looked for the Asrock B450m AC if it was available in the online stores, currently not available, also went to my nearby mall already and they only had B450s without WiFi capability.
  8. The online store I'm sourcing the parts and prices also have GSkill Ripjaws V 8GB dual DDR4 2800Mhz for PHP 3350 / $64.42 and GSkill Ripjaws V 8GB Dual DDR4 3200Mhz for PHP 3600 / $69.23. They also have GSkill Ripjaws V 16GB Dual DDR4 3200Mhz for PHP 5300 / $101.92. Which should I get? 8gb kit or 16gb kit?
  9. Hello everyone, The build I am currently planning on this point will be my personal rig, I wish to get your opinion once again regarding bottle neck and instability mostly. The MK I does mean that I plan to upgrade the system in the future when I have more money and if the prices do go down as well. Keep in mind that there maybe some parts that will be maintained and some that will be replaced later on. I mostly plan to game on it (CS:GO, Apex, R6, maybe GTA V, Assassins Creed, and Watch Dogs) and do some light content creation (video editing for compiling my games with friends and photo editing when I feel like helping a friend out and making some extra cash). Here will be the parts: Nexus MK I: To be upgraded when possible: AMD Athlon 200GE 2-Core 3.20Ghz Vega 3 - PHP 3540 GSkill Ripjaws V 8GB Dual DDR4 2400Mhz - PHP 2950 GIGABYTE GTX 1050 Ti 4GB - PHP 7000 To be maintained as long as working: Gigabyte B450I Aorus Pro WiFi (mini-ATX) - PHP 6500 Gigabyte 120GB SSD - PHP 1110 DeepCool DA600W 80Plus Bronze 600W - PHP 2250 Tecware Nexus M Mid Tower Gaming Case (Black) - PHP 1550 Western Digital WD Blue 1TB 64MB WD10EZEX Hard Drive - PHP 2100 Nexus MK II: Upgrade to GSkill Ripjaws V 16GB Dual DDR4 2400Mhz CL15 - PHP 4300 or any 16GB RAM kit that is better and/or budget friendly in the future Nexus MK III: Upgrade to AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6-Core 12-Thread 3.40-3.90ghz 16mb 65W - PHP 6520 or any AMD AM4 processor that maybe better and/or budget friendly in the future Nexus MK IV: Upgrade to MSI RX 570 Armor 8gb OC - PHP 9950 or and graphics card that maybe better and/or budget friendly in the future I chose the Gigabyte B450I Aorus Pro WiFi due to it the only motherboard that is the cheapest, has WiFi support, and can still be used when I upgrade my other components (unless you guys know of a compatibility issue which I would gladly like to hear about), I don't have any way to route Ethernet cables yet and the flexibility is also nice. I also chose the DeepCool DA600W 80Plus Bronze 600W due to it being also the cheapest power supply and has the the 80+ certification, others were cheaper but they didn't have any efficiency rating, and also since I know I will be upgrading later on, the 600W would come in handy, even if I were to go with higher parts than what I plan to go with. Nexus MK I Total Price: PHP 27,000 / $519.23 Nexus with all the upgrades at the start instead: PHP 34,280 / $659.23 I'd like to know your opinion if I should buy some upgrades now instead or wait for some of their prices to go down again, I plan to pair this build as well with an HKC M24G3F 24inch Curved 1920X1080 144hz Freesync DVI HDMI DP price at PHP 7370 / $141.73, I don't mind if I have to play at 720p either as long as I can play with 144Hz and with decent graphics (Medium to High) to be able to react fast to enemies and actually see them. Thank you once again for the help! I am also currently helping my friend out with planning and building their own rig, if you have any suggestions for that please look at it here.
  10. I'd probably recommend the 2400g since she's not really going to be doing to much heavy lifting from what I know her job entails, we kind of have the same kind of job, but different company and different responsibilities, but likely the same kind of tools needed, and it's only PHP 2,250 / $44 more. She's mostly into gaming free titles like Apex and Fortnite, I plan to let her use my PUBG account if she wants to since I don't use it as much as I did before, I used to go to computer shops to rent a gaming PC to play it but haven't had the time to go to one recently and I only have a laptop with GT 920M on it. I plan to use some videos I found on YT to show her the performance difference between RX 560 4GB and RX 570 8GB so she know what the extra PHP 3000 / $58 gets her and to see if she'd be willing to save up first for the 570 or shell out for the 560. Thanks for the info on the PS5, I'm more into PC than consoles tbh, I tried playing with a controller, I suck. Better at shooters with a mouse + keyboard.
  11. Will keep the Ryzen 5 2600 in mind, for the most part, the main reason why I decided to go with the Ryzen 3 2200g in the first place is due to the fact that I don't know if my friend is willing to shell out the money all the way through, so I was thinking of getting the APU first, then when she gets the money for the GPU, we can upgrade it. The difference in price in my country is for the RX 560 4GB vs RX 570 8GB is currently at PHP 3000 / $58. I'll keep in mind to recommend it to her. Can you tell me more about what you mean by "This won't even come close to what ps5 will be though."? (Do you mean the specs I gave isn't good enough to compete or are the parts of the PS5 just going to be way better than any PC at the same price point?)
  12. Hello everyone, To those who may have seen my old post, this is just a supplementary one, I would like your suggestions and critique of the parts and combination that I've decided to try and put together for my friend. TL:DR of my last post: Friend is thinking of buying the PS5 when it comes out, I recommended to build a PC instead since I knew she also works from home. (Expected price of PS5 when it launches is around $499 - $599 or from around PHP 26,000 - PHP 32,000.) I'm trying to focus mainly on budget for her since I know she's mostly a casual gamer unlike me who can get competitive. I've also switched over to stores in my country that are quite known for their reliability and give warranty. I have chosen the cheapest but what I think would still provide a good value. (If you see that I included a 600W PSU and think that it's overkill, I would agree with you, but it was cheaper or close to the price of some of the 500W being sold by the store and it gives her a chance to upgrade some of her parts later on without having to spend on getting another PSU for everything to run smoothly and reliably.) My recommended parts for her at this moment are the following: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Processor with Radeon Vega 8 Graphics - P4600 / $89 MSI B450M Pro M2 V2 - P4300 / $83 GSkill Ripjaws V 8GB Dual DDR4 2400Mhz - P3000 / $58 SanDisk Plus 120GB SSD - P1000 / $20 Western Digital WD Blue 1TB 64MB HD - P2100 / $41 PowerColor AXRX 560 Red Dragon 4GB DDR5 Graphics Card - P7000 / $135 DeepCool DA600W 80Plus Bronze 600W - P2300 / $45 Deepcool SMARTER Micro ATX/Mini ITX computer case - P1300 / $25 Total: P18,600 (No GPU) / P25,600 (With GPU) = $358 to $361 / $493 to $496 In the event that she may need to have her computer use only WiFi, I would switch out her motherboard for the one below: Gigabyte B450I Aorus Pro WiFi - P6500 / $125 Total: P20,800 (No GPU) / P27,800 (With GPU) = $400 to $403 / $535 to $538 (She may also be connecting this to a Sony Bravia TV that she has for her old PS4, that she recently sold. I've also watched videos on YT on how much FPS she can get in Apex, Fortnite and PUBG, just don't know if it will scale well or be a decent experience if she does connect it to the TV.) Please do tell me if there are compatibility issues with this build that you may know of. I've already used PC Part Picker to see if there would be any compatibility issues, didn't receive any. Thank you for the help as well! 13. Just a bit of an update, I have narrowed down my list to possible components from some shops and parts from these shops, so far I have settled on going with the AMD Ryzen 3 2200G for now and will upgrade later when there is a need, for now my possible configurations are going to be shown below: Notes: $1 = PHP 52.14 at time of update, Some Prices may have been raised by P50 to make it a little easier to add later on 2 - PC Express (pcx.com.ph) 3 - DynaQuest PC (dynaquestpc.com) AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Processor with Radeon Vega 8 Graphics - P4600 (3) MSI B450M Pro M2 V2 - P4300 (3) Crucial Ballistix Sport LT BLS4G4D240FSE 4GB DDR4-2400 - P1100 x 2 = P2200 (2) Seagate Barracuda SSD 250GB SATA 6Gb/s (STGS250401) - P250 (2) Western Digital WD Blue 1TB 64MB WD10EZEX HD - P2100 (3) PowerColor AXRX 560 Red Dragon 4GB DDR5 DHA Graphics Card - P7000 (2) Thermaltake TR2 S 500W 80+ Power Supply - P2000 (2) Deepcool SMARTER Micro ATX/Mini ITX computer case - P1300 (3) Total: P16,750 (No GPU) / P23,750 (With GPU) = $321.25 / $455.50 AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Processor with Radeon Vega 8 Graphics - P4600 (3) MSI B450M Pro M2 V2 - P4300 (3) GSkill Ripjaws V 8GB Dual DDR4 2400Mhz (F4-2400C15D-8GVR) - P3000 (3) Seagate Barracuda SSD 250GB SATA 6Gb/s (STGS250401) - P250 (2) Western Digital WD Blue 1TB 64MB WD10EZEX HD - P2100 (3) PowerColor AXRX 560 Red Dragon 4GB DDR5 DHA Graphics Card - P7000 (2) DeepCool DA600W 80Plus Bronze 600W (DP-BZ-DA600N) - P2300 (3) Deepcool SMARTER Micro ATX/Mini ITX computer case - P1300 (3) Total: P17,850 (No GPU) / P24,850 (With GPU) = $342.35 / $476.60 AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Processor with Radeon Vega 8 Graphics - P4600 (3) Gigabyte B450I Aorus Pro WiFi (mini-ATX) - P6500 (3) GSkill Ripjaws V 8GB Dual DDR4 2400Mhz (F4-2400C15D-8GVR) - P3000 (3) Seagate Barracuda SSD 250GB SATA 6Gb/s (STGS250401) - P250 (2) Western Digital WD Blue 1TB 64MB WD10EZEX HD - P2100 (3) PowerColor AXRX 560 Red Dragon 4GB DDR5 DHA Graphics Card - P7000 (2) DeepCool DA600W 80Plus Bronze 600W (DP-BZ-DA600N) - P2300 (3) Deepcool SMARTER Micro ATX/Mini ITX computer case - P1300 (3) Gamdias Atlas HD236C 24" Curved 144hz Freesync HDMI DP - P8000 (3) Total: P20,050 (No GPU) / P27,050 (With GPU) = $384.54 / $518.80 AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Processor with Radeon Vega 8 Graphics - P4600 (3) Gigabyte B450I Aorus Pro WiFi (mini-ATX) - P6500 (3) GSkill Ripjaws V 16GB Dual DDR4 2400Mhz CL15 (F4-2400C15D-16GVR) - P4300 (3) Seagate Barracuda SSD 250GB SATA 6Gb/s (STGS250401) - P250 (2) Western Digital WD Blue 1TB 64MB WD10EZEX HD - P2100 (3) MSI RX 570 Armor 8gb OC - P10000 (3) DeepCool DA600W 80Plus Bronze 600W (DP-BZ-DA600N) - P2300 (3) Tecware Nexus M Mid Tower Gaming Case (Black) - P1500 (2) Total: P21,550 (No GPU) / P31,550 (With GPU) = $413.31 / $605.10 Some of you may have noticed that I've included in a motherboard that has built in WiFi, that is due to the fact that my house has poor cable routing for Ethernet ports (I live in a house built in the 1980's), and just in case where my friend is going to be moving into only has a WiFi connection and there isn't any way for her to conveniently place or route cables to her PC Also, I'd like your opinion if combining 2 single channel sticks is okay, or if I should stick with the dual channel kits instead? Would it be better to just save a bit more for the 16GB kit than to stick with the 8GB kit? There's a difference of P1300 / $25, would it be worth it or to use the difference toward something else? Thank you once again for your helpful comments!
  14. Thank you I kinda wanted to get the 16GB kit to future proof if possible I'll look into the motherboard, may have to look for a listing on the website for a good price and review/rating Should I go with a Ryzen 5 2400G or 2600 to lessen the bottleneck? I've seen online that the performance increase is just around 5-15 FPS in games, and don't know if it's worth the extra PHP 2000-3000 / $38.07-$57.11. She's probably fine with just something that can runs games, but I may replicate the system when I have my own money for a build. I do understand that the PSU is where we should never cheap out on but I'll certainly look into that model if available in our country, but is it generally good to get a PSU that is 550 Watts and 80+ Bronze at least?
  15. Hello, A long-time viewer of the channel and generally curious in building a computer, never really got around to it cause I didn't have that much money and would go to a nearby gaming shop where we could rent computers by the hour... until now that I have a job and don't have the luxury of going to the nearest gaming shop and have a friend who I offered to help in building a PC for themselves. Just a bit of back story, I am from the Philippines and we have limited places in my area to find PC parts, we'd have to travel to the next town/city to the mall that possibly has more PC hardware stores, but it would still take a bit of time due to the number of store and differences in pricing for the parts, my friend wants to do casual/competitive gaming from time to time (games like Fortnite and some single-player games as well), she had mentioned that she might get a PS4 Pro or wait for the next PS5, I offered to help her build a PC instead since I know she works from home too and could benefit from something that can be used for more than one purpose. Another reason I want to build this PC for her is so that I can also know if what I make will possibly be good for me as well since I also play video games and need the pc for my hobbies and online work (I play CS: GO, PUBG, R6: Siege and some single-player games like Watch Dogs and Witcher) I've done a bit of research and wish to get a second opinion and some recommendations if possible, the prices I will put will be in Philippine Peso 'PHP' (for my kababayans out there) and in the rough conversion to USD At the time of this post, 1 USD = 52.53 PHP Currently, in my country, a PS4 Pro 1TB is priced at PHP 23,490 to PHP 30,499 / $447.17 to $580.60, depending on where you buy, my goal is currently to stay within that or close to it and to have a stable and reliable system for the next few years until an upgrade sounds or is a possible thing to do. Also, the prices I will be giving will be coming from the prices I get from Lazada.com (a kind of eBay in our country that's got delivery and a good system) I have decided to go with a Ryzen Build due to the news we've all heard recently Edit: I have used PC Parts Picker to try and see incompatibility issues and went with the B450 instead of A320M due to the BIOS needing an update in some models and I don't wanna take the risk of running into any delays or spend more money The parts I've chosen to prioritze first: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Quad-Core 3.5 GHz (3.7 GHz Turbo) - PHP 4,060 / $77.29 GIGABYTE GA-AB450M-DS3H Motherboard - PHP 4,229 / $80.51 GSkill Ripjaws V F4-3200C16D-16GVKB 16GB (8GBX2) DDR4 RAM - PHP 5,350 / $101.85 1TB/1000GB 3.5" SATA Internal HDD - PHP 1,999 / $38.05 Thermaltake Litepower True Rated 550 Watts Power Supply - PHP 1,895 / $36.07 Raidmax Ghost Gaming PC Case - PHP 1,795 / $34.17 ARCTIC MX-4 Thermal Paste / Thermal Grease 2019 Edition 2 Grams - PHP 300 / $5.71 What I plan to add later if budget is an issue: Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB DDR5 - PHP 7,800 / $148.49 Western Digital WD Green 120GB 2.5" SATA III 3D NAND SSD Solid State Drive - WDS120G2G0A - PHP 1,090 / $20.75 Build Phase 1 (No External GPU and SSD) - PHP 19,628 / $373.65 Build Phase 2 (With External GPU and SSD) - PHP 28,518 / $542.89 The build that I will be giving her will be connected to one of her TVs that she had used before when she still had her old PS4 that she recently sold, I hope to give her at least 720p or 1080p gaming on the system Links to the Lazada pages where I got the prices in case you're wondering: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Quad-Core 3.5 GHz (3.7 GHz Turbo) - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i175237008-s220278174.html GIGABYTE GA-AB450M-DS3H Motherboard - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i328590226-s701328694.html GSkill Ripjaws V F4-3200C16D-16GVKB 16GB (8GBX2) DDR4 RAM - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i4715254-s5915876.html 1TB/1000GB 3.5" SATA Internal HDD - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i327436142-s695718064.html Thermaltake Litepower True Rated 550 Watts Power Supply - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i324864756-s679082149.html Raidmax Ghost Gaming PC Case - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i310514496-s618548988.html ARCTIC MX-4 Thermal Paste / Thermal Grease 2019 Edition 2 Grams - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i301554840-s535140639.html Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB DDR5 - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i332430290-s729552983.html Western Digital WD Green 120GB 2.5" SATA III 3D NAND SSD Solid State Drive - WDS120G2G0A - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i157935207-s191713359.html
