  1. Linus is a great reviewer, and I love it when he ventures to do non-tech related reviews. There's a bike company called Linus out there, so who better to review a bike from them then Mr.Linus himself! Any thoughts on this?
  2. I think it's a great idea to review lower end products. I would assume most people don't have the money to buy top of the line prodcuts all the time. Instead they look at flagship models as a sort of "halo" item that boosts all of the company's products into a better light. A good anology would be car manufacturer, they work in the same way. I think the one thing to mention is to compare lower end products to other lower end products. The point isn't to look at a lower end piece and say, ya this is low end the expensive stuff is the good stuff. Of course it's good. However, how good is the lower end product compared to other lower end products? They've both obviously made compromises, so what's better for the price? I think in the lower end hardware spectrum is where you should actually mention a price bracket that the item competes in. After that, you can compare price brackets versus the features. You don't have to say the msrp outright, but a price bracket can take in price fluctuations. My opinion on this only affects the lower end as I've said.
  3. I think it's great Linus is going to do a review of the Surface 3, products from a manufacturer that combine their own OS and Hardware are few and far between. This is what makes the Surface 3 such an intriguing product in my mind. Microsoft is clearly aiming for apple, and say what you will (fanboys), the reason macbooks are so great is because the OS and hardware is from the same company. While I'm not a fan of Windows 8, will the hardware make the software? That's my burning question that I want Linus to answer. Is windows 8 bad because manufacturers can't get it right? Is windows 8 actually a terrific OS on a machine designed for it. I feel Linus's review process of actually using the product in his life will answer this question. What are your thoughts? Third attempt for the perfect product to make a perfect OS? btw I use linux, windows, and osx
  4. I think it's great that Linus is covering all aspects of tech. There is only so much to cover on the PC side. The PC industry has slowed to a crawl where new products are just minor improvements. My only wish is a more brief advertising. Thanks for listening to your viewers Linus. YOU DAH MANNNNN
  5. Ad companies will only advertise if they see an uptick in profit from their advertisements. If people just tolerate the ads, and they don't actually make you buy stuff, the ads have to become more extreme as time goes on, to deliver the message. Which is what I see happening in Linus's videos. I think it's a downward spiral and will be the ruin of LMG.
  6. I lose respect for Linus when I see him promoting products, and don't feel like even watching his reviews. So is the advertising worth it to get money if people stop liking linus and don't care about his reviews?
  7. I understand the need for advertising, but spltting the video in half and having a 2 minute plug is really off putting. Is there any way to keep things at the beginning of the video and get it out of the way. I'm really losing enjoyment of linus's videos.
  8. I was about to watch it but can't stand the whole love story thing, will wait for next weeks selection
  9. Fingers crossed, this phone is going to get chopped!
  10. I use windows, gnu/linux and OSX. Honestly, the minute differences between the guis dont make that much of a difference. It all comes down to fanboyism.
