  1. Hello all, I'm using 3 monitors in my setup, (2x IPS 1440p 27" 144 hz + 1x TN 1080p 24" 144 hz) and I just recently decided to rotate my smaller 24" vertically. I never had any issues with the monitor in regards of the viewing angles, but now that it is rotated 90° I cannot see a god damned thing on this screen. So I started looking for alternatives. I believe I would like to stick with 24" 1080p monitor and keep it vertical. But I don't want to go around ordering multiple monitors to test which has the best viewing angles when vertical. So that is why I'm reaching out here to ask for your advice. I believe IPS is the clear choice but I just want to be sure before swiping my card. Also if you have any specific recommendation with minimal bezels, (ideally) 16:10 aspect ratio and is retailed in EU then I'm all ears! Thank you!
  2. Hi Adam, thank you for the insight. This really helps and I bet some other customers might be reading this too and finding your words reassuring that you are actually doing the maximum you can. Keep up the good work!
  3. To whoever is still interested in this thread, I just find it fair to send a resolution after receiving the merchandise I ordered. I can confirm, that even after all carriers confirmed they do not have the IOSS number and LTT Support declined providing the IOSS number, I received the package today WITHOUT any other extra cost. No double taxation, nothing. After all it seems that the Local post service had the IOSS number all along but were unable to confirm that for some reason, or I don't know. I still believe that the communication from LTT Store should be more clear, at least explaining why they still refuse to share the IOSS number with the customers, what is so harmful if they do (since everybody else does it). I don't understand it, I guess I never will and I will have to learn to live with this. Overall to answer my original question "Is LTT Store effectively summing money from EU citizens?" I can wholeheartedly answer to the question BIG FAT NO! I never really believed in the original premise of the topic I made, but few weeks back I was full of doubt and "What If?" questions. I was not sure what to believe since I the replies I received from the Support were slow and lacking in depth information to dispel any confusion. So things can be improved, but my faith has been restored and I can count myself as a happy customer of the LTT Store. Title of the topic has been modified.
  4. I'm still patiently waiting for the reply from the support at this time. It has been 6 days now. We shall see what they are going to reply (although I'm pretty sure I already know). Package is still on route and so far every post carrier that is involved in transporting the package confirmed that they do not have the IOSS. There is one more from which I'm still waiting on reply.
  5. As far as I know, IOSS was created by the EU as a directive to the individual states to implement this system as their local law. It was implemented by all the states, in very similar form with very little changes. Retailer does not have to participate on IOSS (unless the volume of sales into EU passes certain threshold) but if they do, they have to provide it. You cannot charge the customer VAT and then not provide necessary confirmation to the customs or the customer that they paid it. Not assumption really. LTT confirmed that they have issue provided the IOSS to certain countries, postal services without specific which. They also confirmed that they are not sharing this with the customers. They are also not providing any invoice where this number can be found. The only assumption is that they do not print the number on the package itself (which from other forum post I assume they do not, given their negative responses). So I would not say I'm basic my accusation on assumption. I believe this is relevant question, why LTT Store insists on following this broken process and not actually offering their customers something that actually work meanwhile, before the current process can be fixed. In case I'm wrong (which I'm still hoping for) I will be the first one to apologise to everyone. But meanwhile I have not heard from anybody that I'm wrong. I even called DHL and was told that they do not have the IOSS.
  6. Hello all, this will be a long rant, so I'm sorry in advance. This is a follow-up thread on the issue of LTT Store refusal to share the IOSS (Import One-Stop Shop identification number) with the recipient. IOSS is a system based on which retailer can charge the VAT directly during the check-out and then provide it to the local government so the customs process is much simpler for the customer. Disclaimer: I have not yet received my shipment and I have not yet paid any fees to the local Customs Administration. I'm basing this post on the available information from the LTT Store statement, experiences from other customers on this forums and information provided to me by the local Customs Administration. *************************** I'm from Czech Republic (part of European Union) and I have ordered goods from LTT store and was charge VAT during the check-out. LTT Store stance, based on generic document from EU without any legal value, is they will not be sharing the IOSS with the recipient. On the first page of the document there is even disclaimer regarding this (see below). LTT Store then refuses to follow the individual state implementation of the law and is effectively causing more harm to the customers; more on that below (for US friends it is as if there is general law directive by the US president, but then individual states have to translate it into their local laws which can vary slightly one from another; hope that make sense). To be more specific in Czech Republic, Local Customs Administration confirmed to me via phone that the retailer is OBLIGATED to provide the IOSS to either the recipient or to the Customs Office (can be printed on the parcel, can be shared with the shipping company etc.). The parcel has not yet arrived to the Czech Republic, so I have not yet seen it and therefore I cannot confirm LTT Store does not print the IOSS there (based on the other replies throughout the forums I believe they do not though, so I will assume so). It was mentioned in the LTT Store statement that they are sharing this number with the shipping companies so they should provide it to the local post services and Customs offices. This process seem to be broken as they also mentioned in the statement. But instead of being oriented on the customer and providing the IOSS to them for the better customer experience, LTT Store doubles down on this and continue in their practice, even though it was proven wrong. Czech Customs Administration confirmed that when they receive a parcel without IOSS they are reaching out to the retailer to provide one. if IOSS is not provided to the Customs Administration, they are obligated to calculate the new VAT based on what the customer paid to the retailer (including cost of goods, shipping, insurance, and any fees) and charge it to the customer. When I specifically asked about the tax I already paid, they confirmed that the new VAT is calculated based on the overall sum the customer paid, so I would pay tax from the tax I paid via check-out on LTT Store. BONKERS! So my order is: - 81,87 USD = Value of goods - 24,99 USD = Shipping - 17,20 USD = VAT = SUM 124,06 USD Given I'm not provided the IOSS I have to pay extra handling fee of 4,90 USD (110 CZK). The new VAT calculated by the Czech Customs Administration is 21% out of (124.06 [order] + 4,90 [fees]) 128,96 USD = 27,08 USD. Overall VAT + Fees paid to Customs: 31,98 USD (VAT + Fees paid to Customs if I'm provided IOSS: 0,00 USD). LTT is refunding the VAT that has been paid during the check-out, so in my case it is the 17,20 USD but since I have to pay 31,98 USD to the customs, I'm still 14,78 USD short. Just because LTT refuse to share the vital information of their IOSS number. It is not a lot of money and under other circumstances I would not have any issue with paying this. But at this point it is a matter of principal since LTT Store incorrect stance on this issue. Why should I pay extra for somebody else's incorrect stance? And although I understand that the LTT Store is obligated to collect VAT during the check-out, their approach harmed mine (and I believe many more) trust in their ability to actually provide good customer experience. All I wanted was to support my favourite YouTuber and getting some cool swag. What can be done? Well the simplest solution would be to make sure you are providing the IOSS number to the local customs office. If there is known issue and you are seeing that this system is not working, you need to provide the number to the customer. If this is not possible, then you need to stop charging the VAT during the check-out not to inflate the price the customers will have to pay to the customs in their countries. Even though you are officially obligated to do so, apparently nothing is stopping you from not providing the IOSS number and therefore effectively not being compliant with the EU laws. So what is the point anyway? I have reached out to the support@lttstore.com 2 days ago and I'm waiting for their reply. Although I understand they have quite a big backlog of tickets from during the holidays, I'm hoping to receive their reply before the goods arrive to my country (during the latest WAN show Linus mentioned 4 days average waiting time).
  7. Yep, that exactly what I'm thinking as well! But so far nobody is talking about it and I don't have any means to test it myself. I was hoping to find any information on this for the big tech youtubers who could look into it. Well fingers crossed
  8. Hello all, I wanted to check with you whether there is any information regarding AM5 OS preference? I believe it can run just fine on Win 10 as well as Win 11, but do we know if it runs better on any of them, or it is the same performance on both? I kinda doubt that but I cannot find any information. It might be jus too early to know but I kinda don’t want to upgrade to Win 11 just yet. Cheers!
  9. I ended up reinstalling Windows 10 and it just works now. Don't know why. There was one thing I did not check and I doubt it could have been it, but in the Windows 10 settings in the Windows Updates section, Advanced settings Optimized Delivery and then Advanced there is a way to adjust download speed of the Windows Updates (might be handy in case you don't wanna Windows Updates to saturate your whole bandwidth) and I was told it can effect downloading of other files. I doubt it, but I did not check it before reinstalling. Anyway, issue resolved by doing the least liked option, but it worked.
  10. It's old. Probably few years now, like 3 maybe now so over the years there is definitelly some old stuff that might be hanging in the background, but I do my best to clean the PCs registry etc. I have no other issues but this one I mentioned. I tried downloading files from other sites but I cannot figure a proper storage or anything that would allow me to download at full speed. Any tips what I could try? //EDIT: Ok I managed to sign up for some trial with random service and download speed there was around 5MBps as well. It seems that really all my download speed connection is bottlenecked somehow. But speedtest.org still is showing the full speed. //EDIT 2: What is interesting that when I start downloading multiple files from the server I originaly mentioned multiple files are downloading at the 5 MB/s speed (it fluctuate around 4-5 MB/s). It's like there is a speed limit somewhere but I cannot identify where.
  11. Windows 10 Home Edition (I got Pro version on my PC)
  12. Yes, download speed is 35 Mbps (around 5 MBps). Same file on my PC takes about 2 minutes to download. On my phone it takes seconds (on the same network).
  13. Hi guys, I'm having very weird problem with my system/network settings I'm trying to download some files from server www.webshare.cz. My speedtest.org results are around 250 Mbps download speed. I dont have any FUP limits, I live in country with net neutrality, there are no caps on certain servers etc. There should be no issu from IPS. My download speed from mentioned server is around 35 Mbps. I try downloading same file on my phone while connected to my home network and download speed is around 230 Mbps. I insall a virtual machine on the very same computer, try downloading the same file and my download speed is 250 Mbps. There must be some software or any incorrect setting preventing me from downloading at full speed. I have no clue what it might be. I even uninstalled Eset Antivirus and some other apps with no effect. Any help is welcomed at this stage. I'm worried that I will have to do the worst aka reinstall Windows 10 I'm currently running (latest version 19041.746). I don't think any specs are necessary, but I can provide whatever you feel like. Also when testing a speedtest on some local speed test I'm noticing some weird stuff, see this video: https://youtu.be/6qT2rgPH2ZY Thanks for any tips!
  14. Don't think there are any on the Motherboard. Unless they are disguised as other RGB headers. What I found is JRGB, JRainbow and JTPM if that does ring a bell.
  15. Hello friends, I have a quick question considering whether you can connect Corsair ICUE LS100 Lightning Strips directly to the Motherboard MSI MPG B550 Gaming Edge. It has both ARGB and RGB LED Headers. I don't think the Commander Pro or iCUE Lightning Nod or whatever those are called are necessary, but I might loose some fancy effects (or maybe it could be adjusted with MSI's Mystic Light). Any tips would be welcome. I cannot find any proper information on this topic, mostly what I find is that if you just plug it to 12V connector, you gonna fry it. But what about the 5V which I believe the MB has too? Thank you!
  16. I currently have i5 9600KF paired with RX 5700XT which is slightly slower than 2070S and it is good match. GPU is still maxed out while CPU is at 80% utilization. Tested in Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Division 2 benchmarks.
  17. Hi there, sorry to hijack your thread. So would the same apply if I get HyperX Predator 2x8GB 3200 MHz kit if I have a kit of the same brand and series but clocked at 3000 MHz? 3200 MHz are now selling for less than 3000. The faster ones will only clock down to 3000 MHz, right? Just what about timings? The 3000MHz are CL15 and 3200MHz are CL16.
  18. Hi, thanks for suggestion. I would prefer all in one headset. Something like Sony WH-1000XM3 is outside of my budget, I would prefer to remain in around 100-150 USD. I considered getting pair of wireless headphones and getting wireless mic (or even table mic) but I have no experience in this zone so I always preferred whole set together. As mentioned above Logitech G935 looked very appealing but the clamp force is just too strong to wear with glasses so currently I'm looking for alternatives.
  19. Hello team, I'm currently using Corsair Void Gaming Wireless headset, but I feel they are due to an upgrade (I had them for about 5 years now). I watched the recent video reviewing the headsets and I really liked the Logitech G935 ones. So I put in the order (I added G533 with them to compare them; both were on sale) and bought them. Quality of the build and sound are exceptional, but what I have a huge problem with is that I wear glasses 24/7. I cannot use lences at all so I need something comfy. Sadly neither of Logitech headsets are made for glasses wearer. Right away I felt that the glasses are squished on my head and the clamp force was pretty strong. I got a headache from it within minutes. When I put on the Corsair Void it felt like laying in the bed after a busy weekend with no sleep. Way better. Problem is that I don't know if the leather or fabric on the Logitech ones will get softer over time and will become more comfortable or If I should rather return them and consider different headset (maybe upgrade to Corsair Void Pro wireless). Any of you have any experience with comfy and quality headset for glasses wearer?
  20. Hey guys, I need help. My CPU (I3-8350k) is folding but my GPU (RX 5700 XT) is just Ready and not doing anything. Any idea what do I do to start folding on GPU too? I cannot find any info.
  21. Ok so I managed to post and boot into Windows now. I cleared the bottom of the CPU with tissues and rubbing it with my finger. I don't know what did it. It is midnight now, I will mount the cooler tomorrow morning and hopefully there won't be any more issues. Thanks boys.
  22. How gentle do I have to be while cleaning the bottom of the cpu? What precautions should I take? Cleaning with alcohol only?
  23. Video should be now visible. And yes, I took it out. Making sure I do not bend any pins or anything. Always very gentle with these.
  24. Yes, you can see it on the top left corner of the video. I will try play with it though. Good tip.
  25. Hi guys, I could really use your help. I was doing normal maintenance as always after roughly a year of not touching the PC. I disassembled everything, changed thermal paste on CPU and put the cooler back on. Cleaned all the dust etc. Normal stuff. When I was changing the thermal paste I noticed there was some paste around the CPU and on the bottom of the CPU so I cleaned it with wet wipes (I was very gentle using IFIXIT tools to rub the paste away of the CPU; wet wipes contains less than 5% of cationic surfactants, less than 5% non-ionic surfactants, phenoxyethanol, potassium sorbate). Then I put everything back together. I tried to boot up the PC but I got into a boot loop with CPU error (see attached video). I'm afraid I bricked the CPU. Do you have any tips for me what to do next? So far I only cleared CMOS but that did nothing. I will most likely go ahead and buy some cheap CPU at local shop to test if everything else is working (we have 14 days return policy if you buy stuff online, so I plan on abusing that). Thanks for tips!
