  1. So I'm settled on buying an rx 5700 xt. But not quite shure if I should wait for other non-refs to show up or should I get the Pulse by Sapphire? Or can I get like better termals/noise/perfomance and such for around the same price with other designs?
  2. In the new system build I won't have DVI or VGA connections which my current monitor I will be rocking for at least half a year past a point the build is complete. Then there rises a question what should I consider buying? rx 5700 xt has 3 Display ports and an HDMI. What are the variants on adapters I should consider geting? Is it better to go with DVI adapter or VGA? The monitor is https://www.newegg.com/samsung-206bw-20-wsxga/p/N82E16824001095 and I've been using it for around 10 or 11 years. Once it had some capacitors swapped, fun times. Thanks in advance.
  3. Thanks for you time! Have a nice day.
  4. Sadly doesn't sell in Russia. And improting is to much of a hustle for a psu, I believe. The market is mostly flooded with Cooler Masters, corsair, deepcool, aerocool, chieftech, some be quite and cougar one's. Sorry for not providing that info to begin with.
  5. Yeah, I know about throwing an extra fan for airflow, thanks for giving the model though. And the psu... I just didn't make enough research and thought that it looked decent spec wise. Any suggestions on that end?
  6. I'll have a look at these x470 boards, thanks
  7. It's quite pricier in Russia, where I live, around 650, yikes. And as soon as msrp means nothing here around 350 msrp would be a nice spot, if such exist, without massive corners cut.
  8. Well, guess it is, but I guess it's more future-proof? Might reconsider for a x470 with a bios flasfback, tho, as I could not find anyone with a ryzen 2000.
  9. What you mean about elite? It's my first pc build, got some money saved up and 1680x1050 doesn't really hold up to the spec I'm going for. Build is not only gaming focused as a Software Engineer student I want a nice CPU with many cores as it's quite a benefit and rx 5700 xt seems a decent choice for the money. Going to dig a bit into overclocking and stuff, to get more performance out of it. Or you meant something else under that elite word?
  10. So I'm going to build a 3700x + rx 5700 xt system and thinking of a monitor upgrade as my old Samsung sync master 206bw won't unless even the half of the new build capabilities. Want a high refresh rate panel. Maybe a 1440p one. But the budget is kinda limited, so I'm looking for some help with the choice. Is the freesync worth it?
  11. So CL16 it is then, yeah I know r is for rgb in gtzr, not quite sure if I want it, as the build otherwise is rgb-less, excluding the packed cpu-cooler. But maybe some flashy sticks in the case is just what I need.
  12. Currently looking at G.SKILL F4-3600C16D-16GTZ, maybe c17,fits in budget
  13. Well xmp seems like an easy way, but I want to get into overclocking a bit given I've got time. So I'd say manual.
  14. Thanks for the reply! Well, goal is not only fps, but some sort of heavy workloads/rendering/compiling + of course some game performance. Do work loads benefit from higher clocks? I looked at g.skill website recently and just can't get what are the benefits of the new series(eg. Neo).
