  1. This all started on January 31st this year. I put my pc into sleep mode, went for a walk, came back and my pc wouldnt show me a picture. It also told me "signal not detected" with my displayport cable plugged in (how it has been for the past years). I plugged in the hdmi cable and the "no signal detected" message was gone but now I had a black screen with some green screens/flickers in between. It shows the bios part when booting up but as soon as it wants to switch to windows, nothing is displayed. After changing the pcie slot of my gpu on the motherboard, I got lucky and I saw something after the manufacturer information was shown on bootup. I got this message: it looks like windows wasnt loaded correctly. So I thought it might be a software problem and I tried things Like going into safe mode, uninstalling the gpu drivers but nothing helped. The option that was left: do a clean install of windows. Which I did while hoping it would fix it. But while I was installing windows, the screen just turned black again with green flickers inbetween. I had to shut down my pc and try installing windows again. Now I actually got windows installed but then the flickering started appearing again. Here is the video of it: https://streamable.com/m9z626. It detects the gpu for some seconds and then it doesnt. Over and over again. My gpu is fine since I tested it on another pc. My monitor is fine since I am using a laptop which I connect to the monitor and that works fine. The cable is working because I use that cable for the laptop as well. I dont know what to do anymore...
  2. Java. But it doesn't make sense that my mate gets different results than me. We use the same program and different cpus. There has to be something wrong with my cpu
  3. My ryzen 7 1800x doesn't get its full potential under full load. Yesterday I have let my cpu render a picture with 1-16 threads and my professor, my colleagues and me saw that these results weren't the usual and that there must be something wrong with my cpu. A friend of mine took my exact code for the picture which we render in java and he got a different, expected result on his 1-12 threads (pictures in attached files). My result: Y-Axis = the time it needed to render the picture in minutes, X-Axis = the number of threads used My mate's result: Expected outcome, he has a ryzen 5 2600 with 6 cores and 12 threads, he used my exact same code and got the expected result As you can see, the picture renders a lot faster when you compare 1 thread and 2 threads but it gets slower when I use 4-5 threads which makes no sense. 16 Threads is almost the same outcome as 2 threads which makes absolutely no sense. My mate however got the expected result, where the times are shorter, the more threads are being used. I benchmarked my cpu in cinebench r20. There will be pictures in the attached files of me showing the core temperatures, clock speeds and the cinebench result. It only reaches 69C on every core on 100% load which shouldn't be the case. It should reach at least 85C (I assume) and there must be something wrong. Thanks for every help I can get.
  4. The same happened with the Modern warfare beta as well. Doubt it's the same
  5. While I am playing a game (like f1 2019) my case fans go insane (high rpm) and my pc gets really warm. My cpu temp is at around 56C and gpu at 69C. Everything but the game is really slow. Clicking on things takes longer than usual (switching discord servers). My pc should be able to handle one game in the background while I am trying to do other things on my pc or not?Specs:Ryzen 7 1800xMSI RX 480 8gb16gb memory 3200mhzAsus rog strix x370-f gaming600w bequietCpu usage at around 40% while playing the game, https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/593178400261275658/627863489230143528/unknown.pngGPU at 100%video: https://streamable.com/skkmu
  6. Is it normal that my GPU usage only uses 3d? Video encode and decode is always 0.
  7. There are options you can select before the benchmark. One of those is "extreme". Extreme automatically selects every single setting and you aren't able to change them, they are locked.
  8. My GPU is getting a really low score on the Heaven Benchmark. GPU: MSI Rx 480 8gb. People who have the same card as me, score much higher points than me. I did the benchmark on Extreme settings.
  9. I think it might be related to Graphics. My gpu has poor results on the Heaven Benchmark. It scores up to 3k points lower than people who have the same gpu as me
  10. I can still see the grey area on 0 contrast, it is less but it's still there
  11. I don't know why it would be my monitor. My monitor is just displaying what the gpu sends. If it sends those clearly visible pixels, the monitor just displays it or?
