  1. Yeah I found it one day. I'm just skeptical after buying a K70 wondering if I am missing out on "REAL" keyboards
  2. http://puu.sh/cRne6/445fb00d7b.jpg#_=_ EDIT: I did not make this.
  3. Thanks all for your replies, will probably go with the 970 due to a relatively significant performance boost, better temps, performance per watt and noise levels.
  4. Yeah @tmcclelland455 , was thinking that, if you were in my shoes what would you do? The 7870 does things completely fine, sure I have to turn down a few knobs to maintain 60fps, but it's fine, I think that'll change with the Witcher 3 which IMO is much better when it looks amazing (at least with Witcher 2 that was the case)
  5. To @Kevinkt, I know that, hence the "near ultra" (apologies quote isn't working for me for whatever reason)
  6. In preparation for that Witcher 3 Hype, I've decided I'm going to sell my trusty ol' 7870 for a new GPU that should be able to run Witcher 3 60fps near Ultra settings, the problem is what GPU I should buy? Should I get the GTX 970, R9 290 or what? The GTX 970 is quite expensive here in the UK (around £275 which is ridiculous when compared to US prices) and the R9 290 is much cheaper, at least USED. Thanks.
  7. Update: Got a Corsair Vengeance K70 with Cherry MX Blues, love them and the audible click BUT the audible click is damn distracting to others (presumably) lovely to type on but I would feel MX Browns would of been the ones I should of gone with, still no regrets as I rarely use my PC past (let's say) 11PM so it won't be that much of a distraction in such a fashion that would wake up people whom are sleeping, I suppose.
  8. Yeah I get that but you specifically said Red is just for gaming, when all of the switches are fine for gaming/typing. If you said "If you game a lot, use red" etc etc, then it would make sense.
  9. Yeah I thought it was a bit strange. Definitely going to be going for blues then, thanks for the replies everyone. (I currently can not afford to buy sample boards unfortunately as that would mean I wouldn't have enough for the keyboard)
  10. Can anyone else back this statement up? If that's the case I'll probably go for Brown.
  11. Yeah I am edging towards blue than brown but I have little experience with mechanical keyboards so I have no idea what one I should get, but I really think Blue is for me. Do you recommend it?
  12. I know that this has probably been beaten to death on forums but I thought I'd ask anyways. I am in the lovely situation of having about £110 in my pocket and I've needed a new keyboard for a while as I'm currently using an old PS/2 Microsoft keyboard that kinda sucks. I've been thinking of the Corsair Vengeance K70 however I don't know what switch I should go for, I'm edging toward Blue and Brown but what would be the best for me? I like the sound of the audible click with the blues but are they really that loud? I could see my house mates getting irritated by it, so I don't know. What is your favourite MX Key and why? and do you think I should go Blue or Brown or what else?
  13. Dear lord lol, I would lose my mind if I lost two high end (expensive as) CPUs
  14. Lovely build, would kill for a modular power supply, but can't financially justify it atm.
  15. I'm curious of what your first PC build was and the parts you used, I am 17 years old and I only built my first PC two years ago, but I've been PC Gaming since I was like 7, playing Half-Life, DOOM, Flight Simulator etc. So just post your first build if you feel so inclined My first build, built in late 2012. CPU: Intel i5 3450 Motherboard: P8H77-M RAM: 4GB XMS3 @1333mhz Chassis: Coolermaster Elite 430, which has been 'upgraded' since to a Fractal Design Define R4 GPU: GTX 650, I stupidly fried this card March 2013 but it was a good performer, my current GPU is a 7870 PSU: Corsair CX750 Storage: 500GB Seagate Barracuda, pretty bad drive, it's slow and very noisy, I have since added a couple of 60gb hard drives for more storage and an 128GB Sandisk Ultra Plus SSD as my Boot Drive OS: Windows 7 Pro 64bit
  16. Motherboard is a year and a half old now, and if you read my post properly you would know that I did put it back in the x4 slot.
  17. So recently I updated my BIOS and after that I switched my GPU from x4 to x16 because stupid me thought both of my PCI-E slots were x16, so I switched, not that it's a huge deal or anything the performance difference is negligible. When I switched slots, everything was fine but the morning after I received a lovely Long Beep and 3 short beeps indicating the card wasn't being detected, I restarted and it worked. It just got worse and worse over the last 3 days so I was diagnosing, took out the BIOS battery, tried downgrading to my previous BIOS which ASUS E-Flash 2 didn't allow me because it was outdated and last I switched PCI-E lanes again and IT WORKED. Can you guys tell me what the hell is wrong with my x16 slot, it worked for me well enough the last few days, played games well, detected the x16 lane on GPU-Z but it took ages for my PC to post, couple of resets everytime. Either this is another problem or my X16 slot is faulty. Most 1 Long, 3 short codes mean your memory is fecked but ASUS says it's something due to a VGA card not being detected - Source: http://support.asus.com/pcassistant/pdf/BeepTable_en-us.pdf
  18. It can play DOOM at high resolutions.....ON THE GO
  19. Welp you were right, case-swapped yesterday and it's an absolute beaut.
  20. No idea but can you set up Speed Fan with 3 pin connectors? Or is it 4 pin (PWM) only?
  21. [iRRELEVANT] How do you get to display your PC Specs at the bottom of the post? Just found out, disregard.
