  1. That is very good news. I hope that you can recover your work for the vbios mods. With that being said, what was the utility that enabled display ports out of these graphics cards?
  2. And if someone can get their hands on it, my suggestion is to put the vbios on TechPowerUp.
  3. I found a website that is supposedly selling a FirePro S7100X rebranded as a AMD Radeon E8950 with eDP AND LVDS support: https://www.exxactcorp.com/TUL-EA8950MF-TP-E1553192 Someone else can try to see if it is not unobtanium.
  4. Wait, does that mean you have been able to NATIVELY display a signal from the card (no integrated graphics, etc.)?
  5. On top of that, the test system I have been using has had its connectors breaking left and right for the motherboard. So, I will not be able to test with that system.
  6. Kind of... I tested it with a laptop that uses eDP and the laptop itself has not had a great track record of just working with graphics cards. The other laptop (an LVDS laptop) just stood me up for trying to use it period (this could be down to vbios limitations, or a bios problem). Either way, I have not gotten the FirePro S7100X to work as a dedicated GPU, without an IGP and wall power.
  7. Also, if the bios is an R9 M390X vbios, PLEASE SAVE IT OFF! This will help with building a good bios for the FirePro S7100X vbios.
  8. 2 GB might be a problem, but nothing that a vbios editor cannot fix… There is a Mac vbios for the FirePro S7100X. It is on the internet somewhere. I do not remember where the source is. Use that and edit it with the memory configuration for your card (along with any references to how much memory is in the card) and it should work. I am not a programmer by day, but this is from learning from others programmers editing vbioses.
  9. I have not tested it with a FirePro W7170M bios yet on a computer with LVDS. Try using a FirePro W7170M bios to test with.
  10. Someone just posted a video about this card. This is the YouTube link. Advice for this YouTuber: Make a backup of the bios using the bios programmer, NOT GPU-Z. I have had a hard time with bioses obtained by using GPU-Z and this GPU. Also, I have had my fun time with this card (not). I had something that sort of worked, but I think I deleted it. If anyone has an unaltered FirePro S7100X, I would like the dump file from a bios programmer please. I am going to try to cook up a bios using that and a Dell FirePro W7170M bios.
  11. Not yet. I could use some help doing a bios mod on the card. I still need some help with figuring out how to do the memory section of the bios. If someone could help with the memory portion of the card, I can turn a W7170M bios into a bios that we can use.
  12. On top of that, does anyone know what I should plug in for the bios chip settings? My programmer had a hard time auto picking the settings.
  13. My FirePro S7100X is now "working". The rom that I just tried did not work as intended. The laptop BSODed. The bios I had was for a GPU that I did not want to use the VBios for.
  14. I could use some help with repairing mine. I know one of the components burst, but I could use some help with repairing it. After that, I can use my laptop to find out if a bios will work or not.
