  1. Why not? I prefer the shorter travel of laptop keyboards. It feels more responsive to me. I don't think I "get" mechanical keyboards? What's all the fuss about? I really like the Amazon basics keyboard lol! I'm trying to find a laptop style keyboard without the num pad for space reasons...
  2. MSI B450 Tomahawk The motherboard and Corsair ram are controllable with Mystic Light but the fans don't show up as an option to control. I have the fans plugged into the PCCooler controller and the controller plugged into one the RGB headers on the motherboard. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? The fans do light up in their default mode, I just can't control the effect via Mystic Light...
  3. I updated with AMD's chipset drivers, updated m.2 drive, and W10 was already up to date. I see no difference in Ryzen Master:
  4. I can't get a screenshot until tonight. I do have Ryzen Master. I need to download some stress tests to see how it does under real loads. Doing things like Borderlands 2 and Apex Legends it hasn't seemed to get above 60sC and is usually in the 50sC. Just using the stock heat sink. My issues at the moment: 1) Voltages don't seem to ever drop 2) W10 boot takes 60 seconds or so, which is ages compared to my previous PC with W8.1 3) I might like to have another m.2 slot...
  5. Forgot to quote reply above. My room temp gets hot too, like 27C hot. So I don't think my temps are way off... I'm debating returning this board, but I don't know what I would get that isn't having similar issues? I was reading about the ASUS x580 Tif Gaming, but I think some people are having some problems with that board too...
  6. I will give that a shot. My temps are around 46C at idle. Game temps are around 55-60C. Currently using the MSI chipset drivers.
  7. Just built my system last weekend. I've been reading up on various Ryzen 3000 threads and have seen some people complain about voltage? I'm using a R5 3600 and MSI B450 Tomahawk (latest bios). I'm starting to keep an eye on voltages using Ryzen Master (just to see if things are as they should be). When I'm at idle, what should the voltage be? I've seen some people say that Ryzen keeps the voltage high at low load? I do see the frequency drop to 300-500 MHz when idling, but it seems like the voltage stays up at around 1.4V? I'm not OC'd or anything. Wondering if there are some bio settings that I should be tweaking? The only bios stuff I have done was to allow wake from usb and enabling my RAM to run at higher speeds. Thanks for the feedback!
  8. As suggested by others, I grabbed Ryzen Master. My temps and frequencies in Ryzen Master are NOT what was being reported via the other utility. My idle temps are in the low 40s. Other utilities were showing 52+. I also got MSI Command Center and got my fan speeds dialed in a lot better than I was via the bios.
  9. It's too tall for my case. The Lian Li O11 Dynamic is more for water cooling I guess. I may have to do an aio 240 or a low profile cooler... I think I have around 150mm of clearance from the top of the CPU.
  10. Last Bios update was on 7/22/19 and chipset was on 7/1/19. I just did my build on Saturday, so I'm up to date. Should I be at 4+ GHz when I'm just sitting on the desktop doing nothing? When I'm in the bios, I see CPU temp of around 40C...
  11. I will get a cooler, just haven't picked one out. The 212 Evo is too tall...
  12. I just built a system with r5 3600 on a msi b450 tomahawk. I'm using the stock cooler in a Lian Li O11 Dynamic. I've got three side intake fans. My CPU idles at 50C (in a hot room that is about 27-28C). During gaming I'm seeing 70-76C so far. The idle frequency is 4-4.1GHz with voltages in the 1.45V range. Not sure what normal is... I think I have good positive pressure coming out of all vents in the case. Still trying to figure out how to set up my case fans with PWM in the bios... This is my first build...
  13. In case anyone looks through this thread later, I have fixed my problem. The molex connector on the fan controller is double sided. It has both female and male connectors. After I realized that, I got the controller hooked into the PSU and I'm up and running in full RGB rgb1.jfifrgb2.jfif
  14. I ended up just trying out the Seasonic that I bought. I'm up and running and everything is working well so far...
  15. I just built my PC yesterday. I am using an ASUS ROG Strix 2070 Super. Should I be using the drivers from NVIDIA or from ASUS?
