LTT has always avoided meaningful CyberSec videos. They also decided not to hire that CS expert for the labs because they do not want to touch it. Maybe this will be the turning point.

It does make sense that in such a fast-moving area CS would not align with "evergreen" content, but that is also true of other software/hardware things they put out. Nothing is truly permanent. They did the Rubber Ducky video but it was void of any real information or capabilities. Really they just need a side channel for in-depth topics of any kind, since the main channel has to be geared toward normies.

I can't believe people still use ebay. All I ever see are scams or overpriced junk.

I pay for 400mbps but it usually exceeds that, which is great. When I was only paying for 200mbps it would normally come in way under...who knows. I'm just glad to finally have a nice connection. Previous to this I was connected over a very unique technology in the middle of nowhere. On a good day I might make it to 1mbps.

I have been looking to see what choices there are in monitors for 4k 27".

I see the lg 27gl950, but it seem to be out of stock everywhere in the UK, and seems a pretty hefty price tag, saw a couple other but they were over £1k.

Is this the region we are looking at for a good 4k 144hz + monitor?

    Thanks

Normally I dislike patent trolls, but I find this one particularly funny. Apple, IIRC, has sued other companies for using fruit as a logo, and having rounded edges.

Could not have happened to a more deserving company.

2019 Dell XPS 15, so last year's model, but you can get a 1650 for entry level gaming for £1379 ( I imagine this would be less than $1500) with a very capable i7 9750h. Not as good value or as powerful as a 'gaming' laptop but should last you years and be amazing for school work

the 9600 performs better today in games. but in the next few years, new games will rely more on the number of cores than on single core frequency, so I believe the 3600 will become better than the 9600. the max upgrade you can do on the mobo for the 9600 is the 9900. the max upgrade for the 3600 isn't released yet, but will probably be a 4950x.

In pure gaming performance it wont make a big difference, but since you plan to use the platform for multiple year the threads from the 3600 and the upgradeability of the AM4 socket will make a huge difference.

Get the 3600 definitely. It's got more threads and Ryzen supports more upgrade paths.

Thank you for managing this cat herd and of course crunching the numbers, its much appreciated.  Felt good to have something to distract me and have some small contribution to the community efforts.  Going to keep folding for the foreseeable future, figure as long as the electric bill isn't crazy its worth doing.
