  1. Hello! Thank you for your suggestion! I'll look into it, unfortunately I've heard about very bad pump out effect from Noctua TIM's , given that the H2 is newer, I've yet to see any bad reviews on it, I'll check if I can get my hands on it.
  2. Hello! I'll definitely check it, but would still go for a paste change if possible as the Mastergel regular only as it is 5 w/mk
  3. Hello! I have a Nitro 5 (2018), with i7-8750h and 1060 6gb, about a month ago I was having thermal issues so I took it to a computer shop to get the paste changed and the fans cleaned, They recommended the Cooler Mastergel Regular they had in stock and I asked them to apply it. The thermals were great, almost 15-25 C lower than usual (usually used to get around 95-97 before this, got 75-85's after) which was great, but around a week or two ago i noticed thermal throttling and realized the temp's were reaching high 90's again. Idle is reaching around 70 C. I'm giving the laptop ample room for ventilation and the room temp is around 22-28 C, fan speeds are set to high, which is 6122 RPM and when set to auto run around 5-6k. What should I do now? and which other thermal paste should I apply for this issue to be fixed? I tried undervolting but I want a long term solution with stability. I've also heard some paste's dry up quickly or pump out effect, especially some pastes that do when temps are over 80 C, like TG Kryo. So would be great if I can help finding a good thermal paste which can work with the gaming laptop I have. Thanks!
  4. Z500,Bad Warranty Service center's not having parts for the PC (under warranty period, where some heating problem, screen folding and keyboard malfunction was present out of the box),1-2 month after buying, lenovo brought out the z510 and a updated version of the z500,both the same price as the one I bought, fixing all the issues aforementioned.Couldn't get mine replaced nor exchanged for the newer one's aswell.
  5. I would have considered Lenovo but I've had very bad experiences with them with previous devices including laptops, I'll go ahead with the HP Omen. Thanks for the help!, But I'd like to know why the ASUS is a bad choice?
  6. Im sorry, i think i meant to say around 2-3 hours with normal workload, not going to use it without plugging it in most of the time.https://www.jarir.com/ is where im buying it from, im just looking at the catalog at the website on what is available, will go to physical store later.if you have any better suggestions than these three, do tell. Im leaning towards hp myself as we also have servicecenters close by.
  7. Budget its 5000 SAR(1350 USD, but I dont have to pay taxes,so some laptops above 1350 USD I can check out) mostly for gaming/rendering, no particular for weight, battery life more than 2-3 hrs with normal workload (browsing and typing mostly). Edit:changed workload hours.
  8. Hey guy's,first post so please help me correcting any mistakes. I'm going to Uni soon and I require a new laptop,I already have 3 selected as it is perfect in my price range and I want help deciding which to buy from these 3. HP OMEN 15-dc0003nx - 15.6", Intel Core i7-8750H, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB), 256 GB M.2 SSD/1 TB HDD https://www.jarir.com/sa-en/hp-15-dc0003nx-laptops-509165.html Asus TUF Gaming FX505GM - 15.6", Intel Core i7-8750H, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB), 256 GB M.2 SSD/1 TB HDD https://www.jarir.com/sa-en/asus-tuf-fx505gm-laptops-521040.html Asus TUF Gaming FX505DU - 15.6", AMD Ryzen 7-3750H, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660ti (6 GB), 256 GB SSD/1 TB HDD https://www.jarir.com/sa-en/asus-fx505du-laptops-530140.html All have 144hz display. Here's the thing,I want to go with the FX505DU because it has a 1660ti,it's cheaper than the other two,but it has a Ryzen 7 3750H and when I looked up comparisons with i7 8750H,it was slower. And it's driving me mental,I have not been able to find a credible source in which a a ryzen 7 3750H with a 1660ti vs a i7 8750H has happened. I'm not that good with computers but I know a tad bit about it ,but will it cause some sort of bottlenecking ? .It's just that I want it to perform good on normal work as well as handling some sort of low end animation rendering. Some good load on the CPU. I have added the site where the pricing is listed (will go to their irl shop to buy it) I want some help on deciding from the lot. Thanks in advance!
