I am yet to purchase the final fan horizontal, however, I feel that this is the best setup for my 2080ti. The horizontal fans blow into the intake and the ones lined vertical draw out of the case. All of these fans reduce temps by about 10C and virtually add no additional noise.

I bought this exact one, it does only allow 120 or 92mm fans though:
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Evercool-PB-01-slot-bracket-120mm/dp/B0737L7HX5
I personally can't fit a 120mm due to my side fans exhausting, also I would be cautious going much bigger then 92mm due to case fitment also you will be blowing the hot exhausted air up towards the CPU which isn't the best in my case especially since I have a dual tower air cooler.
At the time I had considered this due to it being cheaper:
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gelid-Slot-Holder-slim-120mm/dp/B00OAPH76Q/ref=pd_sbs_147_t_0/262-5302212-6037964?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00OAPH76Q&pd_rd_r=4ab50147-033c-4d26-b06a-da69f1dad299&pd_rd_w=PPnLE&pd_rd_wg=1bSFB&pf_rd_p=e44592b5-e56d-44c2-a4f9-dbdc09b29395&pf_rd_r=2D5X1CMG47J8JWBEHDQ8&psc=1&refRID=2D5X1CMG47J8JWBEHDQ8
but then I was like nah lets go full Noctua

Maybe do what I did (I now have three fitted), noise is reduce thermals keep to 60C max overclocked.

CPU can easily handle the upgrade, I'd personally get the 2070 super for that extra performance jump and overclock it to the max and then you'll be right on the limit of what your system can handle cpu wise and psu wise

i'm going to say no, you'll definitely get 60fps+ but I don't think you reach 120-140fps on max with 1440

Dean.P. got a reaction from Ben17 in High quality fan controller for a ton of fans? Recommendations please
6 fans, it's powered through sata, i'm running 10 with splitters. It also includes thermal probes which are fun to look at. Warning note about the Commander Pro, it does not work with Hardware Info installed, it literally shits itself. Aside from that I would personally recommend it, one massive benefit it has is that you can set fan curves to more then just CPU temps, I have some for GPU temps and my actual CPU fans are set to CPU package temps.

Yeah it really depends on the mounting I suppose, also the more heat being produced the more effective the LM should be due to its higher heat transfer

In terms of waterblock compatibility that car uses a reference pcb so any block or kit made for the founders will work

Dude I absolutely love the keyboard, I made my father get one too! Regarding the mouse I haven't actually got a new one yet i kept with my old tracknet mouse for the time being. I think i'll look to get a steelseries mouse for continuity.

I just bought the Fractal Design Meshify C for £79.99 on Amazon, can't speak for the other cases but I HIGHLY recommend it. It has staggeringly good reviews across the internet and the airflow is superb! Check on Amazon, Ebuyer or Box for the best deals. Just a heads up though I accidentally ordered the one without the tempered glass and had to quickly cancel my order so be careful what variant you want/ order.

Make sure you're on latest bios, with at least AGESA Combo-AM4 1.0.0.3 as they continue to tweak the memory compatibility.

At a simple level, you could increase clocks and slacken timings and see how far you get just doing that.

At a not so simple level, download Thaiphoon Burner and use that to find out what chips are in your ram module. It is good info and may be used to feed the calculator below. http://www.softnology.biz/files.html

Download Ryzen Memory Calculator, and use that as a starting point for your tinkering. Don't take the values for granted, you may need to adapt. In my play with Samsung B-die, I had to use more voltage than it recommended and also slack tRFC to get rid of errors during stability testing.
    https://www.techpowerup.com/download/ryzen-dram-calculator/

And good luck... ram OC is still full of uncertainty. Do test stability as ram errors have a much higher chance of silent data corruption than a CPU overclock does.

I've got 4 iPPC 2000RPMs, NF-F12s. Actually building a custom loop soon using them, I have a waterblock for my RVII and some other parts coming. I've ran them for a while on my X58 test bench (X58 classy/X5670/23GB DDR3/Heatkiller IV block and a 360mm rad), and for a bit as intake fans on my case, they're awesome. Have some little 40mm baby fans for chipset/VRM heatsinks and such, then two Chromax fans and the stock fan for my NH-D15S.
