  1. In my opinion, this video has one extremely misleading section. It's when the ghosting is demonstrated and shown in photographs, but there seemed to be no testing of other overdrive modes or even letting the viewer know which overdrive mode the monitor was currently in. For buyers in the market for an extreme performance monitor, not including this information could dissuade them from purchasing this monitor where it's possible that a simple settings change could have improved ghosting significantly. This video should be taken down and corrected ASAP.
  2. The ASUS rating made this whole video completely untrustworthy in my opinion. It made no sense whatsoever. Really a poor showing for LTT where they could have done some good honest work here. EDIT: Considering that LTT wants to create a database of good and bad sponsors, the ASUS rating puts the validity of that entire project into question. Linus reiterates at the end of the video that they strive to be trustworthy with these sponsor reviews, but as a first effort this is even more of a bad look than I originally realized.
  3. Excellent video! I was wondering how the new GPD Win Max would stack up. Quick correction, I don't believe this is the first GPD product with Xe graphics. The GPD Win 3 that you guys previewed a while back also has Xe graphics, though it may be a different generation. I bring this up because Doom Eternal also stutters like crazy on the Win 3, just like what you experienced making this video. I posted an issue report on Intel's graphics forums and it sounds like a known driver issue and their engineers are working on it. Playing around with Xe graphics has been wild. Some games that you think would work fine don't work at all, but I have to say Intel's fixes generally come out pretty quick. A recently example is Persona 4 Golden, which didn't work at all on Xe graphics. Intel just released a driver update that fixed it, but it was surprising that such a simple game graphically would need special consideration. Overall I'm happy with my Win 3, but it really shows that Intel's driver maturity is going to hold the Xe graphics based systems behind AMD, for now. I'm hoping that now that Intel is getting into the DGPU space, their mobile graphics drivers will also improve.
  4. This is good to know, thank you for the correction! I'll edit my original post.
  5. When Linus was testing the working/supported Gen 4 drive, he put in a Seagate Firecuda SSD but magically took out a Sabrent Rocket SSD. I'm thinking the Seagate SSD must not have worked. Hidden take-away from this video, don't buy that Seagate Firecuda SSD if you're planning to upgrade your PS5. EDIT: My concerns were unwarranted. See reply.
  6. @3:00 "Let's turn it off because it really smells" Clearly turns the switch to the "ON" position.
  7. What the actual hell was MSI thinking with that case? There was no way those vents were going to be sufficient with the fans smashed up against the glass. I have to give respect to Linus for not side-stepping the issue in a sponsored bit though. Nice to see!
  8. I'm really curious how a certain other YouTube tech channel had a 3080 in-hand for testing (though they did have to be careful not to show exact numbers). I would have expected LTT to have the same opportunity. Maybe LTT did and there was a logistical issue, of course I don't know the whole story. That's what makes me so curious! Note I didn't mention the name of the other channel to be respectful of this platform and not sound like I'm shilling for them. That's not my intention.
  9. Hey everyone. Apologies for necro-ing this post a bit, but I really have to know what the name of that song is that starts around 45 seconds. The orchestral/cinematic piece. Anyone know? Thanks!
