  1. nvidia has 2 years since last release in august amd confirmed zen4 for this year
  2. Multumesc (thank you) But would something like RTX 3080 (when available) would be bottlenecked by a 9700 (8c/8t) ? So its the platform too or just the gpu for the foreseeable future?
  3. Hello guys, I would like to upgrade. Could you please give me some advice where to go, given what I have right now and 1300 budget to blow? Should I keep my platform and just buy a gpu? Is my CPU good enough? This build is for gaming only. Right now I have: 650W EVGA Gold PSU MSI Bazooka B360m I7 9700 16 GB DDR4 266 512 GB NVME RTX 2060 Super. Monitor Acer Predator 27/1440 locking me into gsync (gsync module) Thank You
  4. 8700 belongs to a friend. It never gets to a place where temperatures are an issue. idles at 30C and never gets to say run a game so vrm would be a thing It dies after 2 secs of loading windows
  5. Hello I would really appreciate any help with this. b360 mobo had worked flawlessly with 8400, 9100f and 8700 Installed 9700 which is seen OK in BIOS. However the system will freeze after about 2 seconds of loading windows (after a coouple of small circle spins) or after about 2 seconds of a windows install attempt. Reverting to 9100f solves the issue. Also ubuntu is booted correctly What can I do? I really fancy that 8 cores/ 65 watts 9700 ...
  6. ok that is something to try. never used speedfan. Thank you
  7. sorry let me be clear I want when the gpu is at 50 to have 0 fan rpm and when its at 84 to have 100% rpm bios cannot control speed against gpu temp only against cpu temp on most boards.
  8. ok i get what that does. but how you control the system fan in bios. That relates to the cpu fan on most motherboards I will have to run at high fan speeds always
  9. ok plan b any chance to create a hybrid cooling solution? I saw a guy do that to a zotac rtx 2070 but due to turing different mounting points it requiered a lot of iron cutting etc.
  10. sorry its actually this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-Pin-PWM-Female-CPU-VGA-Fan-to-Mini-GPU-4-Pin-Male-Adapter-Connector-Cable-28cm/264301421293?hash=item3d8997a2ed:g:tk4AAOSw8dNcxcxv
  11. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EK-Water-Blocks-EK-Cable-PWM-Fan-Adapter-for-GPU-50cm/263266821158?epid=2037774404&hash=item3d4bece426:g:LkwAAOSwdx1aLsb~ this could have worked.
  12. if that was the case using an adapter, you can see the gpu fans as a system fan in bios and control them true.
  13. my motherboard doesnt know like some gigabytes to control a fan speed against gpu temp, so not a solution im afraid.
  14. 2-nd question. does anybody know of a custom solution (like the g12 kraken or artic accelero hybrid in the past) that will work for turing?
