  1. So after 3 years of my LG V20 I got a new phone. A pixel 3a XL. I love it. So much faster and smoother. Don't get me wrong, I love the V20 for what it had. The camera, secondary screen for easy small shortcuts, and the quad DAC built in it. I really do miss it. I've been seeing people (mainly on Reddit) using their own portable set-up for their headphones. I really want to have my own portable set up like theirs. For right now I would like to to do an entry-level portable hi fi setup. Any recommendations would be appreciated!!
  2. So I have a graphics card I want to repair. A very simple one, fan replacement. I have a GTX 1060 Itx OC (Gigabyte). So I went to Ali Express and bought a replacement fan that came in just today. I was happy to fix it and use the GPU again. But I have a problem. The 4 pin connector is different than the one on the PCI-E. I don't know much about cables and connectors, etc. I really don't want to wait and buy another fan that has the right connector. I'm wondering if there's any sort of adapter/converter for the 4 pin.
  3. Okay, I got it fixed now. I just did a system refresh. I saw that he had iTunes downloaded, from what I heard is that it can slow down your computer lol
  4. Would it be best to just return it and get him another laptop?
  5. So it was at 60Hz and I just change it to 144 Hz. But it still doesn't add up. If it was at 60 before then why would it be under that?
  6. My brother recently bought a an ASUS ROG Hero Strix II and it's been a bad experience for him. Before I explain the issues he's been having, here are the specs Specs: 15.6 in. Model 1920 x 1080 144hz IPS Display Intel core i7-8750H @ 2.2GHz 16 GB DDR4 2666 Mhz 256 PCIe NVMe SSD + 1TB HDD GTX 1060 (6GB GDDR5) Windows 10 (64-bit) Now, what he has been experiencing are both in gaming and browsing the internet. In gaming he was trying out Apex Legends and noticed that the frames were low. He asked me to see if I could help him with it. I know I'm not an expert on this but I do know my fair share of it. But I couldn't help, even putting everything low it still would be under 30 fps. I tried updating the drivers too and nothing. Not only the frames were low, but whenever he would move in the game it would go a direction for a bit. Like he was press a movement key and it would go straight then goes walking, and he pressed another key like backwards and would respond late. I even did Heaven benchmark test and on high it was stuck on 30 fps. And when I did medium on it, it really didn't help either In browsing it would also delay on typing. TYPING!! I feel really bad for him because he doesn't really know much about this stuff and he's also using this for school and he's starting college in about a week or 2. I built my computer and it's amazing. I would've built him one two but there's not enough space in our home. A laptop would sound reasonable for his situation. ASUS ROG is a good brand I know that but this the first product I'm able to have my hands on and this is not a very good impression from them If any could please help us, help my brother. I want to fix this quick
