  1. I've ordered a new mobo anyway, went for Aorus B450 Elite. I believe that I can get the 3200MHz with my 2600X which is what I will do, instead of the stock 2133MHz or 2800MHz..
  2. Yea my best guess I think is the voltage sent to the RAM, but I really don't know what figures to put in, cause I know that the RAM I have is tested to be at 3200MHz at 1.35V, so it really should just perform.. However obviously it's not the case.. I'm so close to just buying another B450 mobo just because I think that my Asrock B450 Gaming K4 isn't delivering the power/voltage properly to the RAM. Can anyone put their two pence in on that thought? Could my mobo be underperforming/faulty and unable to support the RAM properly?
  3. Ok interestingly, after I use up slots A2 and B2 having my RAM run at 3200mhz. I then turned it off and filled the other two empty slots with the same RAM and start her up, and I get this message. Any ideas people? This is getting really frustrating, I'm very close to just buying another B450 motherboard (not Asrock...) Thanks
  4. Hey, tried your method but no luck with all 4 RAM sticks. I tried all the different combos/ways of putting them in ie. 1 by 1 in order of dual slots, 2 and then 2 etc. However I can get 3200mhz with the XMP profile if I use slots A2 and B2, but if I was to use A1 and B1 as well it just sets it back to 2133mhz... I'm quite confused as to why this is... Any ideas?
  5. Oh ok, haven't tried that one before. But will definitely give it a shot when I get home tonight! And if I have a 32Gb kit (4 x 8gb), should I do one first, then insert the other 3 after enabling XMP? Or still one by one afterwards?
  6. Hi everyone, I've recently built a computer (back in April I should say). Specs below: CPU- Ryzen 5 2600X Mobo- Asrock B450 Gaming K4 RAM- Corsair LPX 2 x 8GB 3200mhz CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 However later on I then realised that my RAM was not running at the advertised speed, so I did all I could to get it to work at 3200mhz. Later I realised that it wasn't on my Mobo's QVL list. So I got new RAM which were on the QVL list Patriot 16GB kit (2x 8GB) PVR416G320C6K Tried everything I could again to get it to run at 3200Mhz, which it did sometimes. But then my PC would crash with the blue screen with errors that relates to the RAM. At this stage I've tried everything, even using DRAM Calculator for Ryzen. Then I got another set of RAM sticks, Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 16GB kit (2 x 8GB) CMW16GX4M2C3200C16 Same story, the highest speed I could get the RAM to work is 2800mhz (stable). If I tried to load XMP 3200mhz it would just restart none stop and then go back to the auto speed of 2133mhz. Then I start reading about XMP profile being unreliable for Ryzen etc. However I've read reviews of people being able to use this RAM kit on a Ryzen 2700X on a B450 Mobo and able to use XMP Profile at the rated 3200mhz speed no problems. So finally, the questions I suppose that I have/would like answers for are.. 1) Ryzen 5 2600X advertise that their System Memory Specification is 2933MHz, what does that mean? I can't get any faster speeds? 2) Is my motherboard faulty? Why couldn't the Patriot kit that was on the QVL list unable to run at 3200mhz without crashing? 3) What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated guys, thanks!
