  1. For pure gaming, probably not. If you want the new video recording encoder, usually 5%-10% performance increase (depending on game might be more or worse than 5700XT), CUDA, RTX ETC then yes. Up to you, but considering you care about sound and temperature, don't get a blower 5700XT, get a custom model, however this increases the cost reducing the price difference.
  2. Hi everyone, Potentially stupid question but I bought this prebuilt 2 years ago which has a 1060 6gb but I don't know how to tell what model it is specfifically. I think I remember that it was a Zotac but can't check right now. Some help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
  3. Agreed, at best a sidegrade. I think that a 5700XT would be a better choice
  4. I just bought a new monitor, the EG 27" Gaming Monitor QHD 144hz 1ms and a 5m DisplayPort cable. However, I have some issues. The main problem that I have is that when I scroll on websites, the text leaves behind a green replica of itself (I think that this is called ghosting?) The ghosting is only there for a fraction of a second and it stops when I stop scrolling. It almost looks like a drop-shadow effect in Photoshop. I've tried changing back to 60hz, disabling Freesync (using gsync on a 1060) Another one is that the monitor has shown artefacts once and coloured lines, though I may be imagining this. Finally, I have never used 144hz as I have always denied it but I can not see any difference at all, I've changed back to 60hz multiple times, but I can't see any difference on desktop or games. Anybody have any ideas? Many thanks.
  5. Hi everyone, I'm torn between which 1440p 144 Hz monitor to choose, the EG: https://www.ebuyer.com/838555-eg-27-gaming-monitor-qhd-144hz-1ms-with-amd-freesync-gs27-v2 or the Samsung: https://www.ebuyer.com/871164-exdisplay-samsung-27-cjg50-curved-high-resolution-gaming-monitor-ebr1-lc27jg50qquxen The EG has 1ms response time, Freesync/G sync compatible, is a TN panel, whereas the Samsung has a VA panel, worse response time, no sync, is curved (don't know if that's good), and is exdisplay. The main thing I am not sure about is the company EG, are they reliable? This will be my gaming monitor so colours don't really matter as I have a second 1080p ultrawide ips monitor with good colour accuracy. Many thanks, DeadlyPlayGames
  6. I had the same issue with afterburner, you simply have to press the tick box next to framerate
