    Summary
NZXT is recalling all H1 cases due to a design error where one of the screws can cause sparks, making the case able to catch fire under normal use. If you have a H1 currently, contact h1support@nzxt.com for further assistence. NZXT didn't leave any details to the problem, gave no solution outside of contacting them and is only hinting to making a kit to solve the problem.

    My thoughts
I personally think NZXT's response to this is lackluster. It's a good thing they've set up a separate support, halted sales and made some public feedback, but in this they didn't even detail the problem itself or link to the second post that discovered it around 20 days earlier than them coming out with it. I understand that looking into this issue takes a couple days, especially right now, but that doesn't excuse you from hinting at so many things without giving a proper breakdown of the problem in my eyes. Especially considering we're talking about a 350 dollar case here. I hope they do work things out and that current H1 users get compensated for this serious design error.

I respectfully disagree with that. It just seems nonsensical to me, given what I've seen so far.
Also, don't tell me what I do and don't know.

Pretty much what I expected. I asked for sources, not what some fanboys dreamt of the other night.

    Factually untrue?

Is that why a Swedish retailer publicly admitted that they couldn't meet the MSRP for the 6800 and 6800XT in an attempt to explain what would look like price gouging to the customers, since the MSRP was below their purchase price? https://web.archive.org/web/20201119135735/https://www.inet.se/kampanj/6000/amd-radeon-rx-6000-serien

Is that why the Powercolor has mentioned that margins are at a historical low for a new product? Is that why the 5700XT Red Devil was $40 over MSRP, and the 6800XT Red Devil is $150 over MSRP? https://youtu.be/Lk20IzZN-xk?t=596

Or how about ASUS' Strix 6800XT, which costs a cool $899, or $250 over MSRP? But I guess it's got an AIO strapped onto it, so that justifies the price.

Sure, the Red Devil, Nitro+, Strix - all of them are some of the highest-end aftermarket models as far as modern AMD GPUs are concerned.
Though I think you'll be hard-pressed to find even a basic aftermarket 6800XT that isn't $50+ over MSRP.

Also, speaking of "factually untrue", you've mentioned several times that AMD is intentionally gimping specifically mining performance on their GPUs. I looked this up for a bit on the internet, and guess what I found? Nada.
^ and where'd this come from?
Have you got anything behind your ridiculous claims, or are you just that unapologetically hypocritical?

Miners are customers too. Why are "gamers" more entitled to new GPUs than anyone else?

Hello. Thanks to this forum, I was able to put together a list of compatible components and, after 6-7 long hours, I finally finished building this PC. What do you guys think of it, what should I improve? This is my first build from scratch, so I would love some honest feedback.

Troubleshooting computers for customers can be lengthy at times, with having to swap parts in and out. For some time I've been playing with the idea of fabricating my own test station that would also double as a functioning backup computer for myself. I drew up the blueprints for it earlier this week and today I built it! I used a motherboard tray, optical drive cage, usb ports and power buttons from an old discarded computer. I mounted it on a piece of 1/2" hdpe that was in the garage. The only money I spent was $10 for some 1" aluminum rod to make the support legs. I center drilled and tapped the legs 1/4 x 20 thread on my drill press. I didn't want wires hanging everywhere, so I used velcro wraps. I can disassemble the entire thing and put it back together in 5 minutes which will be a huge timesaver. The monitor I use for troublehooting has display port, HDMI, and DVI cables so I can hook up to any kind of video input. I love how she turned out! In these pictures I'm testing my new X570 tomahawk motherboard using a Ryzen 3600 and getting ready to load windows 10 on the M.2 drive. That system will set right there until I finally locate a 5950x for it and everything gets tested out and it's ready for primetime. Then it will all move to the Thermaltake Core X5 tower and the X470 Taichi/3950x will move to my test bench.

    Hi everyone.

I'll use this space as the build log for my project using an old Sun Ultra 45. For those who never heard about it, the Sun Ultra line was a series of servers and workstations made by Sun before they were bought by Oracle, usually using SPARC CPUs instead of your regular x86 (however, some of the the last models, such as the Ultra 40, had x86 CPUs).

Since I'm not a fan of RGB nor windows on cases, I was looking for a nice case that was as stealthy as possible, basically a black box with a button to turn on. Sadly, case prices here are kinda expensive due to the pandemic along with bad currency ratio, so I decided to retromod a nice case. First I looked after a Mac Pro G5, but those are still expensive and the internal space to build an ATX build is basically non-existent, so I gave up on that idea.

That's when I decided to go for the Sun Ultra 40/45, which has way more internal space, the components reassemble an ATX-like setup (but it still has a proprietary form-factor for mobo and psu), while still looking sleek and more elegant that then Mac Pro IMO.

Today the system I managed to buy arrived, with the original CPU (1x UltraSPARC IIIi), mobo and PSU (1000W):

And here's a video of the fancy toolless panels (idk how to embed videos here).

I'll firstly need to polish and clean it up, maybe even repaint the top part since it's heavily scratched.
Then I'll try to add some mobo standoffs, since the original one isn't ATX. I'll also need to find a way to fit a regular PSU, along with trying to mod the front panel in order to use the USB and audio ports along with the power button in a regular mobo.
Lastly, I'll install some case fans along with some dust filters.

I'd be more inclined in calling the 3700X 'excessive' as opposed to the 5700XT, considering the main use case for this system will be gaming. The 3700X really won't offer much of anything in the way of performance over the 3600, strictly in gaming.
Other than that - much better PSU, better case, better board, better CPU cooler, better memory and NVMe storage as opposed to SATA. Without the $100 Windows key, that is.
