sperkowsky got a reaction from killstr3ak in Google Glass? How do you feel about it.
I personally have a pebble and still see the benefits in glass. Honestly whats the difference if someone has there video camera filming around either way they can do it and with glass you can tell what someone is doing by looking at the glass piece so if someone is recording its obvious. You gotta think of the benefits instead of only thinking of the bad things. You could say the same thing for most technology theres a bad use for every inovation.

sperkowsky reacted to Whiskers in Google Glass? How do you feel about it.
To play devil's advocate for a bit:
Humans tend to recognise and focus on each other's faces rather than their hands; does it
not stand to reason that a person using Google Glass would therefore be more noticeable
than a person using a smartphone? I feel that if I were tasked with secretly recording a
conversation I would be significantly less likely to arouse suspicion by utilising a smartphone
than using Glass or a similar device. A smartphone is much easier to conceal, and if you
arouse suspicion then I feel it would be a lot easier to find an excuse for.
To address privacy concerns, from my understanding Glass features an LED at the front of
the device which will illuminate when the device accesses the camera. As a result of this,
it conveys that it is being used to capture images or video much more effectively
than a typical smartphone does.
Personally, I think that devices such as Glass will go on to become tremendously useful
and versatile tools which we will go on to take for granted. I believe the privacy concerns
we have are fair - but the target of these concerns should be the users who would make
use of these devices to invade other people's privacy, rather than be upon the device
itself.
In short - I feel Glass is a sign of the future. I believe that once technology has evolved
enough, devices such as Glass will replace our smartphones. They will offer a more
intuitive control method and will act as an overlay on one's life rather than a distraction
from it. I'm excited to see how the technology evolves.

Nice build man. The graphics card cables are too messy though for my liking. That would drive me crazy.I think that if you put the money into individually sleeved cables, you should tame them a bit so they look clean. But hey, to each his own.

Hello after My recent little adventure to nyc glass basecamp I got to try out google glass. To start here are some pics from the trip.
I am starting this thread to have a little talk about google glass.
I personally thought it was pretty dumb at first and a bit overkill however after actually using them for an hour or so doing things like taking pictures calling people and even getting directions I see the value in it. The best way I think to explain it is a little 3 inch semi permiable hud in the right corner of your vision. The thing is it doesnt intrude your life nearly as much as I thought it would and the side of the head control just feels natural. So in my opinion I think glass will be something I will definately purchase if it hits the 300 dollar or less price range.
Also I think you guys should check the google glass basecamp out if your in the ny area or visiting the ny area its truly an awesome experience and its in the chelsea district one block from skyline park which is also pretty awesome

Hello to start sorry for the people reading this thread as of today there is still not a mod video out for this.
My goal in this build was to do a couple of mods while still keeping this a case that would cater to many builds.
This is due to the fact that this case is being given away.
due to forum rules I will not be able to link the video however Linus said that he will tweet it out so stay tuned for that
I will also like to thank my sponsor fractal design for sending this awesome case out to me!
Now to the before pictures
Now Im sorry I dont have pictures for this but I do have it on video which will come at a later date.
To start I got some
white spray paint (dont remember the brand) some alcohol wipes 2 drawer pulls washers tools used
electric drill screw driver Yes I know that tool list is very long
to start I removed the mesh peices which although hurt my fingers wasnt very difficult I then cleaned them with alcohol wipes I did 3 coats of paint to each side of the 3 mesh peices. This included the 2 metal mesh plates and the fan grill. I then got my drill and drilled 2 small holes in the top of the case (much smaller then the screws) the reason I did this was so I could slowly burrow out holes that perfectly fit the screw size (if only I had the right size bit) after that I got washers and bam I was done!
