  1. I solved the problem, the windows install on it was definitely bugged for some random reason, the ssd was too full to be able to do a clean install of windows and we couldn’t delete anything from the drive because of the previously mentioned problem. We went to bestbuy and got a new ssd and loaded windows onto it to replace the old one everything works fine and he got a small upgrade out of it lol. Thanks for all the suggestions and help!
  2. My friends pc won’t launch most applications. They try to open and then crash after a second or two, this includes all games and some windows applications. I’ve tried alot of things such as switching ram out, uninstalling certain applications, and even attempting to reinstall windows which he can’t do because the application closes itself before it can even get started. I have no idea what this could be or how to fix the problem at this point. He can’t even uninstall programs from the control panel because the computer closes the uninstall before it can finish. Certain applications however do work such as google and discord these won’t crash for whatever reason. Any suggestions are welcome and wanted.
  3. Is it dangerous to keep playing on the pc until i replace it?
  4. yea ive reseated everything on the pc at this point i have a new psu on the way hopefully thats the problem
  5. No theres no OC on my cpu and i dont use PBO. i think it may be the power supply because of the fact that in order to turn the pc back on I have to turn the psu's power switch off then back on if I dont do that the power button does nothing
  6. Thats what im thinking too, its the EVGA 750 Supernova which is the minimum NVIDIA recommends if im remembering correctly
  7. I’m having a problem where my pc will randomly shut off normally during loading or when I’m walking into a large area in a game. I think the power supply might be tripping or something because I’ll be playing a game then all of the sudden my pc will just click then it’s off. I have to flip the switch on the power supply to off then back on for it to power up again almost like I’m resetting it. I have recently upgraded to a 3080 FE and a Ryzen 5900x but kept my 750w power supply. I’m thinking it could be that the power supply just can’t keep up when my components boost and draw a large amount of power quickly and just shuts down. It also happens in games I wouldn’t exactly call demanding like phasmophobia, but this could be a optimization issue that causes my card to draw a lot of power maybe? I don’t really know, any thoughts to help me out tho?

  9. My pc is all of the sudden not booting after being just fine yesterday. When i press the power button all the fans start spinning but then only the gpu fans stop and the rest stay spinning but it never boots. Every few times i try to turn it on Ill get the spinning dots like its trying to boot for a few seconds but then the screen goes blank but its still lit like its trying to do something. Ive already tried switching out the ran and unplugging drives but so far no luck my next step is going to be to clear the cmos but im not hopeful. My mobo has a problem as it is which is a dead lan port which worked for a week then died. I also had a problem where my pc would randomly shut down which also started out of no where and i replaced the ram and that fixed it. Any possibility my mobo is killing my components? maybe power supply? Btw these are my specs: Ryzen 7 3700x asus dual fan gtx 1070 corsair vengeance ddr4 3200mhz 32gb/ 3600mhz 16GB (the first is the one that fixed my previous mentioned problem) asus TUF x570-plus sandisk ssd plus 120GB (windows is installed on this) 1tb hard drive and 1Tb nvme ssd EVGA 750 supernova
  10. So I upgraded my pc about a week ago I got a new mobo, power supply, and case and it was turning on and booting up by itself and I couldn’t figure out what was happening. Now all of the sudden when I’m on my pc the monitors will go black and the fans on my gpu will ramp to max speed. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?
  11. So i have the logitech G430s and if i run them through logitech ghub im able to hear myself through the mic into the headphones, which is annoying. I want to turn this off but my ghub app doesnt have a sidetone slider for some reason and i cant figure out how to get it to stop.
