  1. I did the OC just via the bios, like... I enabled D.O.C.P, it only has a 3000mhz profile, but right under that you can change to whatever clock speed you "want". i tried 3066mhz, it worked, then i tried 3166 i believe it was and the system shat itself... Ram is on constant 1.35V from the looks of it on Auto in the bios aswell, the same V as my Z270 reported, yet the Z270 clocked em higher right away (via XMP, it seems like it was a pre made profile, but it doesnt appear in D.O.C.P). I know Ryzen benefits from faster ram, which is why i wanted to OC lol, but it doesnt seem that happen about OC`ing the ram... I managed to get the 3900X OC`d to 4.15Ghz completely stable without touching the voltage (still at 1.28V), but the ram just refuses to OC... The Tactical Ram was quiet expensive at the time aswell, so i fidn it weird if they arent decent quality... They also have 20yrs warranty, which should say some about its quality.
  2. Okay, so i need some questions to be answered here... I just got a R9 3900X and a Asus TUF gaming X570-plus, i had a 16gb ram kit from my 7700K and Z270 (im upgrading the ram to either 32gb corsair vengance or 32gb trident Z, but still want answers on this). The ram is Crucial Ballistix Tactical 3000mhz CL15 ram, on my Z270 Tomahwak arctic and 7700K i could EASILY OC the ram to 3466mhz, it was 100% stable. So why cant i OC to more than 3066mhz without safe mode screens, windows crashes, BIOS bugsETC on the X570? Doesnt Ryzen like OC`ing as much as intel? Is D.O.C.P or whatever it is worse than intel XMP? Or is the Asus X570 board just really bad? Thanks for answers.
  3. Yea, of course RGB increases performance, everyone knows that lol. I mostly just want it because i like the stealth RGB look, i dont want the whole case to light up like a Christmas tree, just like... some parts like the "Nvidia RTX" text on my 2070 super, the corsair logo on my H60 and the ram. And i easily use up over 15gb lol, high res photoshop really eats memory lol...
  4. Okay, thanks for the answers, i feel like i want RGB ram atleast (like, only things i plan to have RGB in the PC is the ram, CPU cooler and GPU, no led strip or anything like that). So it would look quite good. It would also be the first time i actually spend money on RGB ram lol... And okay, cause what i have read... Is that CL14 3200mhz ram, can be compared to CL16 3600mhz ram? Is that correct? I feel like thats a bold statement... Is it a bold statement or not? I dont really do competitive gaming, mostly what i game is FH4, GTA 5 (like FiveM/OCRP) and games like that... So i wont need any stupid fast timed ram lol, even tho i want high frequency. I also really wanna get a kit of 4 just to fill up the empty ram slots (pure aesthetics). It isnt any performance benefit from that right? Aslong as its dual channel there is no benefits? I found these that i kinda wanted.. Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 3200MHz 32GB (2x16gb sticks) https://www.komplett.no/product/1133600/datautstyr/pc-komponenter/minnebrikker/corsair-vengeance-rgb-pro-ddr4-3200mhz-32gb or G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4 RGB 32GB 3200Mhz (4x8gb sticks) https://www.komplett.no/product/1135609/datautstyr/pc-komponenter/minnebrikker/gskill-trident-z-neo-ddr4-rgb-32gb-3200mhz Im leaning towards the 4x8gb trident Z cause of the look... Even tho theyre 50 USD more than the vengeance, and i also know maybe i should keep 2 ram slots open in case i want to upgrade to 64gb some time in the future. So the Vengeance does seem like the way to go? I know ill get 50 USD off their total price in the cart aswell, price will go down from 2129NOK (roughly 230USD) to 1779NOK (roughly 180 USD). But then again, the 2700NOK (280USD) Trident Z ram i will also get a 50USD discount on so it costs 2250NOK (230USD). I also dont wanna get ram i know my MB cant handle, the MB i chose to go with was the ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus, S-AM4 what should i choose based on what i listed here? Both are good looking ram aswell... And perform the same..
  5. Ok, so i need some help here... I got a R9 3900X and a X570 board on order to retire my 7700K. And i need more ram (i do alot of photoshop with very very high res images, and my Photoshop program keeps complaining all the memory is used up), i currently have 16 gb ram with the 7700K that got 3000mhz speed (easly stabile OC`d to 3466Mhz) with CL15 timing (i think saying timing is correct right?), its the Crucial Ballistix Tactical DDR4 16GB kit 8 i plan to not keep that kit, but sell it with the 7700K and Z270 board). i wanna buy a 32gb kit (that hopefully also has RGB, like trident Z or some), thats around 3200mhz and OC it to whatever it can go to, (hopefully 3600mhz or some around there). How much does timing matter? Should i go CL14 or CL16? I also see a CL18 option... But i feel like thats not good at all...? Thanks for all the answers guys.
  6. Okay... So my 5700XT has started to really screw with me now... Im getting sick and tired honestly... GTA 5 does not load, (ir worked earlier today, i even got the new thrax on the wheel spin in the casino), now its being a b!tch and not loading, neither does FiveM/OCRP, every other game like Far Cry5, watch dogs 2, the crew 2, forza horizon 4 and so on is crashing whenever i change the settings from low to ultra, it doesnt seem like its the graphic settings thats messing up, its fullscreen, as soon as i put ANYTHING in fullscreen (even youtube on chrome) it lags, hangs, freezes and so on, when i got the card, V-sync didnt work correctly and locked my framerate to 20fps whenever anything was in fullscreen... Games dont even just lag, they either completely freezes my PC, auto closes the game, or auto turn off my PC. Im running the latest 19.7.3 adrenalin driver that was released today, i tried goin back to 19.7.2, didnt help, ive tried re installing the driver and so much more... This is on a freshly installed windows 1903 may update aswell... I dont know what to do with this card, is it a software problem? is it a physical GPU problem? My plan was to have this reference cooler 5700XT until the MSI twin frozr release in a few weeks (i have 60 days to return it for a full refund), but the problems ive been having are just getting to a point now where i dont know what to do. Imma leave some videos and pics of whats happen today in this link to google drive cause of the upload limitation on this forum. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Ry9NwbQMCwrdLLw7qIFi3qtxjlIfVrp1?usp=sharing Anyone got any clue whats going on here? or had the same issues? Ive also experienced random stuttering when i first got the card (before i reinstalled windows), and many other random small bugs that pretty much everyone else have also experienced with this card... My specs is i7-7700K OC to 4.6ghz MSI tomahawk arctic Z270 Crucial ballistix DDR4 3466mhz ram Cooler master G750M PSU (and yes, i know this PSU is kinda unreliable, even tho its 80 plus bronze certified and all that, this is my 3rd G750M ive gotten on a warranty).
