Recently i purchased a Corsair 4000x RGB case and a Corsair QL120 RGB fan, however the RGB for the fan will not work. I've plugged in the fan into the motherboard, and the RGB cord into the included RGB hub with the case. All of my front fans of the case work and are detected in ICUE software, but the QL120 fan isn't detected.

Aight cool. Do I need to install any new drivers or BIOS before I put the new hardware in?

How would I go about doing that?

So I’ve recently bought an 5800x and B550 motherboard to replace my i5-8400 and H310-M. What do I need to do before installing it into my PC? e.g. do I need to re-download windows?

I'm looking to upgrade my i5-8400 to either a 5800x or a 10900k (or other). I can get a 5800x for $779 NZD and a 10900k for $789 NZD. ($552 USD and $589 USD). These are the cheapest I can get them in NZ with a Boxing Day sale. I will be using the CPU for pretty much only gaming. I play GTA V, COD Cold War, Hearts of Iron IV, Battlefield V and a couple others. For cooling I have a Coolermaster Hyper 212 RGB Black edition and I'm not entirely sure it would be good enough to cool the CPUs. I honestly have no idea which would be the better pick as I have heard so many differing opinions/seen many different benchmarks.

So i got home, turned my monitor on, and notice this blue line going vertically on the left hand side of the screen. Have no idea how it got there, as it was fine yesterday. The blue line doesn't show up on my 2nd monitor and it still shows up when i use a HDMI cable instead of Display Port. The line also shows up when i switch my Desktop with my laptop so i am assuming that its a monitor issue? Have no idea how to fix this.

Whenever I am in a fullscreen game and i alt-tab, my monitor stays a black screen for about 3-5 seconds. When i go to Borderless windowed, it fixes this issue but i get much more stuttering/fps drops with my monitor, so fullscreen is the preferred option. Is there a way I can make my monitor stop staying a black screen for 3.5 seconds?

I have a few questions about the RTX 2070 Super as i am thinking of purchasing one. Q1. Would it be overkill to get one as i have a 1080p 144hz monitor? Q2. Am i going to get bottlenecked by my CPU (Intel i5-8400)? Q3. Will i need to get more cooling fans in my case? I have a 120mm intake fan at the front and a 120mm exhaust fan at the back. (I have a Silverstone RL06 case)

I recently started using Eithermouse to get 2 cursors for my monitors but when i go into a fullscreen game and try to use my 2nd mouse, it teleports to where my 1st mouse was. Is there a way to keep the 2nd mouse cursor on the 2nd display?

In my Laptop, i have a Seagate Momentus 2.5" 1TB hard drive but for some reason, my file explorer is not detecting the drive. It was working perfectly before but now it just doesn't show up. My laptop is the Asus X550VX.
