  1. I have had the Asus R9-280x since Christmas and I have been having way more trouble than I should have ever had. When I first got the card it work perfectly for the first two weeks I was extremely happy with the card until it started artifacting. I have sent the card back in a RMA three times, each time costing $30 which is 3/10th of the price I bought the card for. The first time I got the card back it was sticky and smelled like Ramen Noodles, they said there was nothing wrong with the card. I swapped out power supplies to a Corsair 1000w which is easily enough for the set up I was running and the artifacts persisted. I have sent Asus many emails and at this point I am being ignored, all I want is to plays games without having these fun crippling artifacts. I have seen online at this point in time that many asus r9-280x have been having the same problem since the beginning also. Do you guys know anything that might fix this problem? I am going to take Asus to small claims court to get all of my money back but until then I just want to play my games.
  2. I honestly don't know where to start but I guess it doesn't really matter. I recently drove to my grandparents house(still here) and once down here my phone has stayed in roaming.(I have GS4 quadcore and I pay for full coverage it also has Cyanogenmod 11 installed) My phone worked fine but it has stayed in roaming but every few hours or so it would go through a fit and not send messages for like two or three minutes, in my head I was thinking that since I am roaming it could do this. But today during the middle of the day my phone completely stopped doing anything, I have full roaming bars but when I call someone it says your phone needs to be activated. My sister which is on the same plan works just fine without the roaming and she keeps a 3g connection the whole time. I tried taking the sim card out and remounting it but that did not help at all. I have made sure my mobile data is on and I have made sure that my data has been enabled along with roaming data. My preferred network type is CDMA+LTE/EVDO( if you could tell me what this bullshit is that would also be helpful) I have tried rebooting and taking out the battery that did nothing I even went through the hassle of resetting it back to factory default but it is still the same. I don't know what to do and if you have any ideas it would be greatly appreciated, I am going to call up US Cellular tomorrow and see whats up until then I want to see if I can get it to work.
  3. I have been looking into wireless charging and I do not quite understand. I have the samsung s4 (quad core) and I want to get a wireless charger for it but I do not understand what exactly I need for it to work correctly. I know you need the charger pad for it to work but with the GS4 do I need anything else? Do I need to get the receiver to put on the battery? I was thinking that NFC would allow me to charge wirelessly but from looking around a bit they seem to have no correlation. I want to get this charger (http://www.amazon.com/UPGRADED-Wireless-Charging-Blackberry-Qi-Enabled/dp/B00C40OG22/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1400159370&sr=1-1&keywords=qi+wireless+charger) but do I also need to buy(http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Charging-RECEIVER-SAMSUNG-Galaxy/dp/B00DK3DC6I/ref=sr_1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1400159436&sr=1-3&keywords=qi+wireless+charger+galaxy+s4) for it to work?
  4. I just recently bought a ASUS R9-280x and I had a pew problems with it artifacting. I spent $40 to send it off and do an RMA which I was okay with to an extent considering I would be final able to use the card in the way it should have came originally. But this did not happen, when I received the card back after about two weeks of it being gone it was not fixed. It actually came back in worse condition then when I had sent it off ( aritfacting and I sent it off with the box it came in). When I got it back over next to the power connectors it seemed to be sticky in an area about the size of a fifty cent piece. It also smelled of Ramen noodles which to me seemed like someone was eating lunch and not being careful. The motherboard toward the end of the card was also slightly bent, and it was sent back in a regular box with out a static resistant bag and one small roll of bubble wrap. The back of the mother board of the card was touching the back side of the cardboard box. Since the problem with the card artifacting is not fixed I have to send it out again which will cost another $40. Should I take ASUS to small claims court and attempt to get my $80 back from the money that was spent that should not have had to be spent?
  5. Thanks man, this was so much easier then most of the other ways.
  6. I have the i9505 I think, is that the one with the snapdragon 600?
  7. I just recently got the Galaxy s4 and I can't stand touch wiz. Knowing there are many different ways to root your phone I was wanting some help. What would be the easiest way to root and install CyanogenMod on my phone? Links to steps would be appreciated. I just don't know which one to follow considering there are so many different ones.
  8. I have been a pc enthusiast for a while now but I have never really worried about routers and that kind of thing before because I have always used a wired connection. But one of my friends has just bought a computer and he cannot run 300ft of cable across his house so if needs to get a wireless card. He has a Westell 7500 router, but the thing I was wondering is does it matter what type of wireless card he gets? The one I was looking at (http://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-300Mbps-Wireless-Adapter-RNX-N250PCe/dp/B006WWMZSK/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1388677773&sr=8-11&keywords=wireless+card) seems like it would work with the router but I have no idea, I do not want to buy it and not work so I would just like some advice on if this works or if not which one I should get that does work.
  9. I have been helping a friend out (over the internet) build his computer. He had not been able to boot up and get in to windows due to some graphics problems. I am thinking that the motherboard and GPU are not compatible. He has Asus-B85-Plus and a 650ti-O-1GR5, I cannot find anything on that board that says that it will only work with Radeon cards but on the board itself it says "Crossfire Ready". To me that says that it works with Radeon not Nvidia, if you guys could vouch for this it would help.
  10. I need help, I have a Cooler Master Trigger and I am having problems with it. I have been playing starbound all day and out of no where my board is acting fucking stupid. Whenever I press o it prints out 0, when I press p it enters, when I press l it prints k. I cannot use my board and I need help now. I have tried uninstalling the software and reinstall and I have tried it on another computer and It does the same thing. I have no idea what to do, considering the cooler master software is shit and I can barely use it what should I do?
  11. I have had my rat 7 since it came out in 2010 it has suited me well over the years but lately it has been double clicking and it is starting to get on my nerves it goes through periods of being fine and complete shit. I do not want to get another one ("not because it is a bad mouse but I want to try something new"). I have been looking around and I cannot find a mouse that would well suit my hand, I am right handed and have a medium large hand, I would like to have a pinky rest of some sort and the mouse itself to be on the heavier side. I am ok with wireless as long as it has a high end wireless solution. My price range in from 60-100$ usd. Any suggestion would be nice, thank you.
  12. I have a simple question, will a 6850 crossfire with a 7850? I have no idea how crossfire works but I know it is more lenient than sli.
  13. I am learning java and I was wondering if there is a way to have a variable that can be called upon in two separate classes. In most cases you can call upon the variable that you declared in a specific class and you can use it throughout the class. But is there a way to use that same variable though more than one class?
  14. I would go 2x8 so that you have room to expand in the future.
