  1. Hi there, Looking for some advice ! My PSU is a Mistel MX650. I've been very happy with it up to this point, however I've just recently upgraded my GPU from an RTX 2080 to an ASUS RTX 2080 Ti Advanced Edition and I'm now facing a major issue. This is now my complete setup : The 9700k's max power consumption is around 220W and the RTX 2080 Ti is around 280W, so that's a total of 500W plus the rest of the components, I reckon the MX 650 should provide quite enough power for this setup. However when playing some power hungry games such as Battlefield V multiplayer I'm facing random pc resets. The power goes out, the pc reboots and there's always a "Kernel-power" error in my Windows logs. So my next thought was to try to reproduce this in a benchmark, so I ran a GPU and CPU test on two different instances of OCCT and the pc would shutdown right at the beginning, every time. I've tried using two different PCI-E power cords for the video card, as well as switching the connectors in the CPU/PCI-E plugs of the power supply, but no luck. So to make sure this wasn't a GPU fault, I've tried running the test with the GPU on another setup: And it worked flawlessly ! So I'm thinking it definitely has something to do with the MX 650. I tried disabling Wi-fi, switching RAM modules, unplugging case fans, it always crashes... What did work however was disabling half the 9700k cores, then the CPU+GPU benchmark would run. What are your thoughts on this ? Should this setup work ? If yes, is there something I might've been doing wrong ? Thank you very much in advance !
