  1. Hi, I am in the need of a new laptop. I have an Asus Zenbook (I bought it 1/2 price nearly 4 years ago) and I have always had problems with overheating followed that causes a blue screen. If I am charging the laptop as it turns on, it will almost certainly overheat within a matter of seconds when it gets to desktop, and the problem is only getting worse. I have cleaned (not that there was much dust), changed thermal compound to a good one to no success. All I can say really is the thermal solution just isn't good enough, plus I think the intake is also the exhaust, which is in the hinge, so when closed there is no ventilation. It's possibly the worst designed thermal solution possible. It does this even in battery saver mode, with no start-up apps, it's just bad. So I will be buying a new laptop, and I think I will wait for 13th gen. I am a programmer so I have been eyeing up an XPS 13 plus, which should be capable of also playing some light games when I am not at my desktop. Is it worth waiting, do I try to scoop a deal? (my work have a partnership with dell so I can get a small extra discount too). Thought's appreciated, alternatives too though the plus seemed a very good option to me, and I tried one out and got on fine with the keyboard and touchpad in a quick hands on so that doesn't bother me. Cheers
  2. Hello, I am receiving the last parts for my new system, the centre piece being the 3700x. I will be buying a graphics card at a later date, when there are more super card options rather than founders. In the meantime, as I know the 3700x has no internal graphics processing, can anyone see any problems in using my old gtx 660 to setup my system, Cheers
