  1. bugger it, I will get the 6400 I reckon, in all honesty, if in a few years I want to upgrade, it is super easy to change a CPU.
  2. thats part of my nervousness about it, if/when I start to push into those newer games I would rather have a cpu able to handle them well. On the flip side its price is so nice lol
  3. umm a lot of RTS', Civ 5 (6 soon) getting back into GTA. Possibly not an issue but my mind likes to be more than certain
  4. Since I am heading interstate in the next few days I may hold off until after then to see if they have anything else like a 6500. I a little nervous about the 6400 since I play a few CPU intensive games (or at least I have read they are). Gah building a new PC can be annoying
  5. A day or so ago I got advice on building a PC from this forum, however I figured an i7 was more than what I needed so I went into my local computer store to get a quote for an i5 PC however the only i5 they have in stock is the 6400. I was wondering, is this CPU worth buying for gaming. The reviews it has gotten seem very mixed in this regard. Graphics card will be a gtx 1070 if that is useful info.
  6. Thank you guys so much! These look pretty good and have possibly saved me a few headaches.
  7. Primarily gaming as well as some light GIS work for uni (each year get a 1 year free licence), 1080p for now ( possible upgrade in future). Forgot to include OS in it, whoops.
  8. I last built a PC about 4 years ago and alas, different parts are starting to die so I am looking into a new build. I am aiming for quite high end so that it should last me a fair few years before needing to be significantly upgraded or replaced. My maximum budget is around $2000 AUD give or take (left over money from travel so I figured I may as well blow it on a PC). if possible a lower is of course, better. I understand the basics of building and am looking at a gtx1070, along with an intel i5 6600 (not K as I don't really like overclocking, always paranoid I will ruin something). My main problem is I want a decent amount of SSD storage to keep a few games on as well as my OS. A case with good cooling and comes with filters would also be ideal. My problem is I went on PCpartpicker and just felt overwhelmed by all the options. I am aware that this budget may not be enough for EVERY want I have and am willing to look a little higher, its just so overwhelming at times. Thanks in advance for any help.

  10. My favourite item in the bundle are the fans, because they would ensure my PC remains cool and quiet as I head into summer
  11. The main things I like the look of for the 900 series are the power efficiency, as well as the raw performance and the dynamic super resolution.
  12. I started watching your videos late last year when I had finished school and was looking for a gaming laptop. Your reviews helped me to make a decision (I eventually just made a desktop instead). However your entertaining style and easy to understand language kept me coming back. I originally wasn't the most knowledgeable person tech-wise however the more of your videos I have watched the better my knowledge has become. I would like to thank you for that. I would also like to thank you for creating one of the best communities on YouTube which has helped me multiple times in comment threads. Here is to hoping you have many more years in this business ahead of you!
