  1. Thank you guys for all the input! It seems my only option to not degrade my GPU is to change my M.2 SSDs or go for more SATA storage. Shall heed your advices and look for some good deals this weekend.
  2. Hello Everyone, I am planning to increase my storage capacity without throwing away old SSDs, as I have used up all the M.2 slots on the motherboard. Therefore, I am look at the option of a SSD Expansion card. Before I look at buying one, I would like to check if my current configuration is able to support the SSD Expansion card. My Configuration: Motherboard - ASUS Crosshair Viii Hero (Wifi) X570 GPU - ASUS TUF RTX3080 CPU - Ryzen 7 5800X RAM - G.Skill Neo 32 GB RAM (8GB x4) Storage used: 970 Evo Plus (500Gb) - (M.2_1) 970 Evo (500Gb) - (M.2_2) 850 Pro (512Gb) - (SATA) WD 4TB - (SATA) WD 1TB - (SATA) The motherboard has 3 PCIE lanes and the GPU is using the top slot (16x_1), I am planning to put the SSD Expansion card at the lowest slot (16x_3) as the 2nd slot would block the airflow of the GPU. Is anyone able to help verify if I could add an SSD Expansion card at 16x_3 slot, and how many SSD (Gen 3) would I be able to add? Thank you very much for the help! Budget (including currency): $500 Country: Singapore Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games
  3. Sorry for the late reply, I tried again without the top fans, the temps are similar but the increment was 0.5oC every few seconds for the CPU instead. Should i place the top fans closer to the front of the case? (for Top Intake) I have not tried this, as i wouldn't want to do this unless my computer is always overheating. But if i were to do it, should i continue using the Noctua's Thermal paste (HT1?) that came with the cpu cooler? or get better thermal paste? I did tweak the curve to reduce noise at idle temps.
  4. Just did the OCCT on the Power testing to test both CPU and GPU. No auto shutdown during the test. The maximum temperature my CPU went was 87oC and GPU 71oC. Ran the test for approx 5 minutes, didn't want to run it for too long. (Slight increment of 0.25oC every few seconds for the CPU) Is this temperatures normal?
  5. Thanks for the tip, i will try using OCCT to monitor both settings with and without top fans! Btw, what do you mean by default motherboard settings? If it is the fan settings, for the front and rear, they are controlled at 30oC @ 40% and 60oC @ 100%. CPU is linear from 30oC @40% to 70oC @100%.
  6. The overheating happened without me observing the temps at the point of time. Thats why i was worried. (Was running COD) I would assume the temps will get higher as when i touched the top of my casing after the forced shutdown, the casing was relatively hot to the touch. My top fans can only go 1000 rpm atm. For the phanteks fans i have no idea their limits but i set them at 100% at 70°C. What do u mean by this? Haha. Wouldnt higher airflow giving more fresh air be better?
  7. So far i have not monitor my gpu that strictly, but the maximum i saw go is approx. 80oC But back to the main question haha, If i were to change my fan configuration to 3 Intake at the front and 3 Exhaust (2 top and 1 rear). Will the airflow be better?
  8. My specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600x Motherboard: GIGABYTE Aorus X570 Pro Wifi GPU: MSI RTX2070 Super Gaming X Trio RAM: G.skill Neo 3600 CL16 CPU Cooler: Noctua DH15S Temps: 40-55oC at Idle, 65-75oC at load usually.
  9. Yes, they do come with the fans, but i feel that the airflow are inadequate, recently i had two events that my computer automatically shut down due to overheating. (Might be due to my environment where it is always beyond warm). So i was thinking of upgrading the fans with Noctua's. I have my drive bays at the bottom with the PSU shroud. I am actually currently using the basic Phanteks fans given at the front (2x) and rear (1x), with addition of two normal 140mm fans at the top for exhaust. If i were to change it to 3 Intake at the front and 1 Exhaust rear, 2 Exhaust top. Will the airflow be better? Thank you for replying!
  10. Hello, I recently had a though of getting some "Noctua NF-A14 PMW" fans for my case "Phanteks Evolv X". I am wonder if i should go for the setup of 3 140mm front intake fans, 2 140mm top exhaust fans and 1 140mm rear exhaust fan. Anyone able to provide some input whether this setup has optimal airflow for this case?
  11. I have a few problems where my mouse sometimes the cursor pointer has a bug and changes to some weird green pixel in a T shape. And my gaming some times flicker/stutter randomly every 5-10 mins. Also i have no idea if my ram is compatible since its not in the list of compatibility in G.skill web. But so far it is detected. (G.Skill Sniper X (slot 2 and 4) 2x 8GB (F4-3600C19-8GSXWB)) (not samsung manufactured).
  12. I am shopping at Newegg, and shipped to Singapore. I have a few problems where my mouse sometimes the cursor pointer has a bug and changes to some weird green pixel in a T shape. And my gaming some times flicker/stutter randomly every 5-10 mins.
  13. Hello Friends! My current bios version for my motherboard "Gigabyte Aorus x570 Pro Wifi" is "F2 - AMD AGESA Combo-Am4 1.0.0.3". Should I update my BIOs to "F4j" version which was released on 2019/08/02. Thanks for the help!
  14. Alright! Thank you, i will try to adjust it!
  15. Thank you guys for all the help! I think i will get a NH-D15 since it will fit and have been thinking of getting it for awhile. May i ask where does one go to play with the fan curves? After viewing the videos, i notice they mention bios updating. Should i update my bios to the latest version? since i did not touch it since i bought it. Current version is "F2 - AMD AGESA Combo-AM4 1.0.0.3 "
