  1. not so sure how to feel... those screenshots are from 1080p video with only some little effects i just trow in for test.. stabilization playback after stabilization with 1080p video even if goes up to 100% fps loss was minor and i had good FPS overall.. but still 1080p!! playback with only time manipulation that was a surpise in terms of how the cpu workload dropped and it used 100% "GPU" of the cpu. still with 1080p video i had 2FPS average i will do more testing tomorrow since here is almost 1am!
  2. that article made me even more confused.. i mean there is a difference of 4-6fps from the 2700x and 9900k that are 200€ vs 500€ that make me think: is it really worth the money? since 8700k is still over 350€ and 9700k aroun 400€ i dont see the point.. i mean if i decide to save money i can go AMD, get more cores at the same frequency and with way more recent tech on them. so i think to closing up my research on 4 CPU: i9 9900k (500€) vs 3900x (550€?) vs 3700x (400€) vs (save ton of money 200€) 2700x. i have the budget so i'm not trying to cheap it out but i kinda hate wasting also i'm not in a hurry so i can wait a bit longer to check others bench and hear more opinion! but yeah atm i have the equipement to shoot 4k and i dont just bcouse i cant edit it.. kinda suck. i'm going to run quick sync now and will let you know what happens asap
  3. with those video you kinda made me wonder if intel is better in my particular case lol even getting something older than the 9900k could actually work? like the 8700k but pricing are like the 3700x that is way more recent.. dunno if the 9700k is worth without hyperthread. i am so confused xD
  4. THIS looks pretty nice! thank you so much! Quick sync helps only on rendering time? tho... do you think between 3700x and 3900x the cost is worth my money for what i have to use it for?
  5. i'm on EU, Italy! i wanted to stay around 700€ that means around 500€ for cpu and 200€ for a mobo so i kinda can afford an i9 9900k.. never heard of 9900 what mobo to pair it up? i was thinking msi z390 gaming pro carbon STILL you made a bell ring. i dont have QuickSync, i dont have any intel graphics driver installed! it does help only on render time or also on timeline frameloss?
  6. you know if my Maximus Hero VIII can power the 9900k? socket is 1151 so they are compatible but i'm not so sure if i get bottleneck by the mobo EDIT: checked deeply and they are not compatible.
  7. hello! that is DDR4 3000Mhz RAM. the max i saw my system use during editing/rendering was 26Gb running at around 85% never saw it going any highter. also GPU never goes over 25-30% on editing CPU is always at 100% that's why i wanna try swapping it out.
  8. wow thanks! thats 100€ saved already! i'm from Italy
  9. Hello everyone! i'm thinking about an hardware upgrade for fixing some playback issue on premiere pro timeline with 4k footage. i recently start using my gaming rig for work (video editing) and it works pretty good with standard fullHD video but when i start to trow in some highter resolution it start giving some huge frame loss in the timeline even going for 1/8. i dont care too much about rendering time since i'm doining mosttly max 10min vid but i want to be able to see the timeline when editing! i would like to avoid using proxies. so.. i'm currently running on an i7 6700k slightly overclocked at 4,5Ghz on a Maximus Hero VIII 32Gb Corsair vengance ddr4 @3000Mhz Msi Gaming X trio 2080 ScanDisk 1Tb ssd (where there is the OS, the editor and the footage) and 2TB 7200rpm barracuda for archive AIO cpu cooler 360mm rad i'm going to add an M.2 500Gb Samsung Evo pro Nvme ssd for sure my budget is around 700€ for CPU and MOBO i have no idia about what mobo to get but i would like an MSI board just 'couse i like MSI and i have their gpu already (i really like the MSI CREATION design but dont know if it's worth the money) for cpu i really dont know what to do... AMD R7 3700x? i9 9900k? amd R9 3900x? wait for 3959? going for something older but more workload oriented (Threadripper 1920x?) i kinda wanna keep being able to play games too!
