  1. Well it's just theory crafting. Also right because of condensation i wouldn't want to go below ambient temp, just close to it.
  2. I guess that wouldn't work, because than the fan+heatsink would be cooling the "cold" side (keeping it ambient temp), while the CPU is getting warmer and warmer. Also i'm not sure if the peltier element can produce enough electricity to run the fan.
  3. Yes that's exactly what is happening, as i said in the post. I've just seen an add for a peltier block and that gave me this idea.
  4. No i don't really want to do that. I want the radiator do it's work at all time. And if extra cooling is needed, then turn on the peltier aswell. What if we chose a pump with lower flow? And/or we replace the peltier's waterblock with a CPU waterblock (or similar custom made block), which has a lot more surface area so it has more effective heat transfer?
  5. Yea that's mainly why i was thinking of using a controller, to turn the peltier cooler off when it's not needed. Edit: Oh I see what you mean with the radiator, yea that could be a problem if the water coming out of the CPU blcok is still subambient.
  6. The peltier is not between the CPU and the CPU's waterblock. It has it's own waterblock and heatsink+fans.
  7. This is just a theoretical idea i came up today, after i've seen an add for a peltier waterblock cooler. I've found an other post where they wanted to replace the radiators with peltier cooler(s), but my idea is different: What if we build a normal liquid cooling loop, but we add a peltier chiller between the pump and the CPU/GPU block. something like this: DIY peltier cooler, just beefier. Depending on how many peltier elements you use and how good is their cooling you probably can go subambient aswell, if that's what you want. I know cooling with peltier elements can be inefficient and they can also fail, that's why in this loop they are just an extra, you could also add a controller which turns it off if not needed. Well in short, that's it, i'm not good at writing well constructed texts, but i'm curious of your opinions.
