RAM to 6000 CL30 since that's the sweet spot

CPU cooler to a thermalright Phantom Spirit since it's one of the best air coolers around and it's cheap (only 3 euros more than the pure rock 2 and much better)

Motherboard to a higher end, better looking b650 gaming plus wifi

SSD to an NM710 but if you prefer the NM790 then go for that one

PSU to a higher wattage, Tier A unit for only 9 euros more

GPU to a three fan version since it was the same price and will offer better cooling

Case I'd actually get the CC560 ARGB that was in your original listing, since that one has ARGB fans, sorry for the mistake

CPU is the same since it's great for gaming

    Thanks for the reply,

The ram was already 6000Mhz and CL30 for a cheaper price or am I wrong?.
In what way is the motherboard higher end? (I see it has more reviews)

For the rest I agree with your additions.

    Thanks

  3. Hi all,

I am looking to build a new PC with a budget of €1500 that'll be able to run all games smoothly.

    Budget (including currency):
    €1500

    Country: Belgium

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: All kind of games, school work.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):
    None

    I've put together this build:

    image.png.ff857df4538a042b18218d217ef8b2ac.png

    Is the build good?
Does it need any changes or improvements, what do you recommend?

    Thanks in advance,
    Kind Regards

  4. Hey all,

I am looking for a good laptop for school work regarding Computer Science,

It should be able to do: run vm(s), program/code, game development, ...

I have looked at some laptops and this one has great specs (https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/1786178/asus-tuf-gaming-a17-fa707rr-hx006w-be-azerty-toetsenbord.html), battery is 90Wh, but still wouldn't last very long I think,

    Its specs:
    RTX  3070
    AMD Ryzen 7 6800H
    16GB ram
    90Wh battery

What do you guys think, is it good are there better alternatives or laptop with better battery?

After all battery is very important, portability. I don't really care about, I need to bring it every day but I am used to bringing like 100 of books, now I don't need books anymore just the laptop so weight will be fine.

    (Btw I am in belgium)

    Thanks in advance!

What design? The legion 5? Yeah its the same old design.

The battery life on bol.com might as well be random numbers you need actual reviews.

    https://www.megekko.nl/product/2057/310352/Laptops/Asus-ROG-STRIX-G15-Advantage-Edition-G513QY-HF002W-Gaming-laptop?s_o=2

I was referring to the HP omen, this tells that HP omen has best battery life: https://www.notebookcheck.net/HP-Omen-16-2022-review-Slick-gaming-laptop-with-high-resolution-165-Hz-display.617089.0.html#toc-1

It really is not. You really want at least 3 hours of battery life and this one does not offer that. Thats + it cannot cool its internals so you lose q lot of performance.

    https://www.bol.com/nl/nl/p/lenovo-legion-5-pro-16ach6h-82jq00qqmh-gaming-laptop-16-inch-165hz/9300000048072329/?Referrer=ADVNLPPcef18700cdbf92970065bba51d011115052&utm_source=1115052&utm_medium=Affiliates&utm_campaign=CPS&utm_content=pdl

More battery (make sure its the 80whr battery vernsion bol.com loves switching links) can actually cool itself so you get a full powet 3070 and whilst yes the cpu is slower it doesnt matter for your usecase.

Also has a better screen too

I've seen on youtube that the HP omens battery is pretty good, and also told me that its cooling capabilites are fine.
The lenovo legion models are a bit bulky for me and look a bit too much like gaming machines, that's why I would rather go for HP omen, it looks more like a regular work pc.

    Do you have any alternatives?

  7. 10 hours ago, jaslion said:

Any reason it has to be a be store? Megekko ships to belgium no problem and is an excellent store.

As for thr hp good specs but it doesnt cool well and has only a couple hours of battery life + screen is kinda mid. Dissapointing pc for 2k.

Oh yeah for sure megekko and any other online shops are fine :P. I meant a shop that delivers to belgium 🙂

Oh yeah for sure better. Ive been helping multiple people out in belgium getting good laptops as rn you have strong but no battery life or weak and overpriced but decent battery and an hp.

Inwill get back later to this but in case I forget tag me.

The older asus g15 2021 is on sale at megekko as of last week still. Nicr middlrground

Asus g15 or g14 are great daily machines, with good battery life, and great performance

Hard to go wrong with one, just be wary that Asus customer service is bottom tier

    Thanks for your responses,

could you give me a link on the G15 and G14 in a belgian store?

Also, what do you think about this one: https://www.bol.com/be/nl/p/omen-by-hp-16-b1890nd-intel-core-i7-16gb-1000gb-ssd-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3070-max-q-windows-11-home/9300000096954824/?Referrer=ADVNLPPcef18900cdbf92970065bba51d011115052&utm_source=1115052&utm_medium=Affiliates&utm_campaign=CPS&utm_content=pdl

Good CPU, GPU, Ram is interchangeable, ....

    Thanks!

  9. What will you do with your laptop?
School work, so programming, running virtual machines, maybe later possibly 3D games, and in my free time I will also want to do a little gaming.

    What is your budget?
    Around 1500 - 2100 euros

Do you plan to take your laptop with you a lot?
Yes I will take it with me daily.

    Do you have any preferences

I have already had a look and stumbled upon these 2 laptops:

I'm not really looking for the bulky gaming laptops where the battery doesn't really last long in use.

My question is: Are there better laptops for this price?

    Thanks in advance,
    Kind regards

    What about this?

    https://www.bol.com/be/nl/p/msi-delta-15-a5efk-016be-gaming-laptop-15-6-inch-azerty/9300000043399519/?bltgh=vJ-3LbkU86C7oxLt32tP5w.2_6.8.ProductTitle

It's got a 6700M so far better GPU than the mobile 3060 for more intense gaming. Bit over the budget, but I'd say worth it if you game a lot.

Hey thanks for your response. It looks like a very good computer, although I would rather stay under the 1000 euros.
    Any alternatives?

    Thanks!

  11. What are you going to do with your laptop?
I will be using this laptop for school work and gaming.

    What is your budget?
    Preferably under 1000 euros.

Do you plan to take your laptop with you a lot?
Yes, sometimes I would like to take it with me.

Do you have any specific (brand) preferences?
No, not really, although I had already found a certain laptop at a competitive price: namely Lenovo Legion 5 ACH6H 82JU009SMB-Gaming

Is this currently a good laptop in terms of price/performance ratio?
Does this have good cooling? Its battery is not that good, but that is to be expected, especially with a gaming laptop? Can I do just about anything with these specs?

If it is not so good, which laptop do you recommend me?

    Thanks in advance!

  12. Hey People, I'am looking for a XLR microphone, budget 100 Euro

I need this microphone for streaming /recording/ gaming

I want the microphone, mixer be under 100 all togheter.

I would like the mixer to have some voice fx, or will that not work with my budget?

I want a xlr microphone because i want to tune how i sound instead of the usb microphone

Could you guys reccomend me a mixer, mic?

    Thanks, Jiry

Use an actual camera then :P

Okay so I did an DDU while there was no driver I didn't see the squares, I tried different versions of nvidia driver still problem persists, I think it is because when the driver is installed it sets it to 240HZ and then i get the squares. The first monitor is my good monitor that i don't have any problems with, the second one is the one with the squares, you can see it on the picture but it is BADDER in real life if you see it. Now the monitor is again on 240 HZ but squares are gone, sometimes i see squares sometimes not? Should i return this monitor? Also don't look at the error window that is because i needed a white window, that is fixed

    bad monitor.png

It is a 240 HZ monitor so yes

UPDATE: The squares were gone for a while 30 minutes, then suddenly in gta 5 flying a helicopter I get it the doomed squares, my colors also seemed a little fucked up.

Could it be cause i have less then 240 fps or is it just a broken monitor that i would have to return?
