    Hi! This is my first time installing a custom ROM on my old galaxy j327V and I am having trouble finding custom recoveries and roms for my model number. I do see roms and recoveries for slightly different models of the j3. Is it even possible to install a custom ROM on this phone? Would the custom roms for the slightly different model numbers work?

    Thx for the help! Warranty's are great and all but I just saw a gigabyte 1070 for $180 so I might check that out

    When they came out I liked the 16 series but now with the new consoles i can't justify buying them when theres the 20 series

    I don't mind buying used, and I'm not really into the 16 series bc rt will be on both ps5 and series x and the 16 series doesn't have it.

    thx for the help, I will try some more on this card tomorrow, but if that doesn't work out do you have any recommendations for gpus in the sub $200 range(preferably ones that could OC well)? I'm looking at used 1070s rn. I would be willing to buy another polaris card tho to hold me off, as I was really hoping to upgrade whenever nvidia 3000 series launched.

    Honestly kinda surprised the capacitors are fried bc I had a case fan and a heat sink cooling the vrms, was it just the power going through them?

    Just tested and I managed to accidentally short the two contacts I circled because of how incompetent and clumsy I am. I tested more and got no voltage over the capacitors.

    Been forever since I used a multimeter, should I just test these contacts?

    Was just worried about that bc heatgun didn't work and the GPU peaked at 230watts with a 6 pin and PCI-e. Do you have any suggestions for anything I could try?

    My rx 480 8gb, which I had running under a pretty high overclock with a cpu aio to cool it died yesterday. The day it died, the GPU had been throwing up all sorts of artifacting, even when I dialed back the overclocks and ran with little overvolting. Later, when I was running 3dmark to try to figure out if it was stable, my computer hard crashed and the GPU stopped outputting. In addition to not outputting, it wasn't recognized by windows, even when I uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. Today I fully removed the card, ran the heatgun over it for 5 minutes or so, then when that didn't work, I tried again for 10 minutes with no success. I'm starting to wonder if the PCI slot may have been damaged due to too much power being drawn through it, as the GPU die didn't heat up at all after I reinstalled and tried to run the card today. If the PCI slot is fried rather than the GPU, would it be fixeable using a heatgun, even if temporarily?

    I will check that out tomorrow, but given this monitor is kinda low end it could also be some sort of artifact caused by the vga cable

    I don't know what else to say in that case other than try to switch up the boot order first.

    I do run a framerate monitor tho and it doesn't show any rapid fluctuations

    Dope! Don't have the budget for rgb myself but I like the look. If the noise and heat of the 2070 is an issue I only really see 3 options. You could downclock it, get a custom watercooling loop, or install some kind of cpu cooler (either an aio or air cooler)

    Has to be the fan, coil whine isn't ever really loud. If you were moving stuff near the cpu socket I would start by replugging all the psu cables as a sanity check.

    I was playing rdr2 and having no LCD motion blur on my crt at 75hz actually made the game feel almost stuttery when riding a horse I ended up turning on the nice per object blur in the game and it looks just a little smoother. I guess I just need to get used to the crt master race life.

    So fans aren't even spinning and lights aren't coming on?

    I had a similar issue where after I updated windows my monitor would turn black as soon as I logged in and I had to completely reinstall windows to fix it. If you just built your computer reinstalling windows completely shouldn't be too painful

    Did it turn all the way off or did the screen just go black?

    Try stripping everything out except the cpu, one stick of ram, and psu and see if you can get into bios

    Only really seems worth it for the games as imo the original Xbox one's size, performance, and experience going into next gen is not worth $200. Obviously a ps4 at that same price with games would be a better deal in many people's eyes in terms of console exclusives, etc. That being said tho, a freesync display might be a great addition to that Xbox one and make some of the worst offending games in terms of performance a lot better.
