  1. Hello! "Scripted response processing" is still a form of AI. But, that's not the point of the discussion. Having crisp images on the screen is what we're talking about here.
  2. Related to this topic: I've found a way to, at least, make the boot screen high-DPI. These are the steps (in Windows 11): 1. Right-click Start 2. Terminal (Admin) 3. Select Command Prompt 4. Paste the following command: bcdedit.exe -set {globalsettings} highestmode on 5. You should receive the following message: "The operation completed successfully" 6. Restart PC NOTE: If that command doesn't work, try this one: bcdedit /set {globalsettings} highestmode on NOTE: Undo command: bcdedit.exe -set {globalsettings} highestmode off I hope this will help someone...
  3. Sarcastic again! Please stop replying to this topic, as you've got nothing constructive to say!
  4. First of all: Please stop being so sarcastic! Secondly: Think about the fact that we have different memory (XMP/EXPO) profiles that did not exist in the DDR & DDR2 era! In the same way, we could have resolution profiles for each monitor out there.
  5. Hello! That was not what I was suggesting. I think that motherboard vendors could implement a chip on the motherboards containing all the resolutions available out there. This way, the UEFI (BIOS) menu would look proper sized on every existing monitor.
  6. I disagree. Technology must advance! We are in the "AI era" but companies failed to figure out how to make a menu look clear? Imagine how bad that resolution looks on 8K displays!
  7. Yes. I have an operating system: Windows 11, and it looks good, but it's annoying to see that the UEFI menu is still at such a low resolution! That should be upgraded too!
  8. Hello! The UEFI menu resolution of my motherboard seems to be 1920x1080, or lower. I see no option to change that to 3840x2160, so the menu is looking a bit blurry. My build is: •Motherboard: Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master (rev. 1.0) - BIOS version F11. •Monitor: ViewSonic VP2768-4K (3849x2160p) - Connected through DisplayPort. •Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (4GB). Question: Is there a way to make the UEFI (BIOS) menu hi-DPI?
  9. Hello! Unfortunately, that's what happens when mixing RAM. What you could try is entering BIOS menu and set parameters manually, using the parameters of the slower module. If that doesn't work, I'd stick with the default JEDEC speed.
  10. Yeah. The thing is that I like that motherboard, and I'd like to insert 64GB (2x32GB) of DDR5 from Kingston, Corsair, or Crucial at a "decent" speed, and "decent" voltage (1.25V max), but there are very few options on Gigabyte's QVL.
  11. Hello! I am looking forward to purchase parts for my next PC, next year. I'd like to buy the following parts: 1. CPU: Ryzen 9 7900X 2. Motherboard: Gigabyte X670E Aorus Master 3. Memory: Kingston Fury Beast KF556C36BBEK2-64 (2x32GB DDR5-5600MT/s CL36 @1.25V EXPO/XMP) Issue: That specific memory kit is not on the QVL of the motherboard. Questions: 1. Will that kit work in this setup? 2. How risky is it to purchase non-QVL RAM?
  12. I’ve got the same issue. Backup BIOS works. Main BIOS doesn’t boot (not even into BIOS menu).
  13. Hello! My motherboard is Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master. I've updated the main BIOS from F11n to F11. Everything was fine and was able to boot into Windows. Later I've observed that Secure Boot was disabled and I could not enable it (as required by Win11). It gave me the following message: "Secure Boot can be enabled when Platform is in User Mode. Repeat operation after enrolling Platform Key (PK)". So I took the following steps: Key ManagementPlatform Key (PK) Update / Yes / "Success". After that I was able to set Secure Boot Enable as <Enabled> After restart, the PC went dark! It would not boot either into Windows or BIOS menu. I switched the BIOS button to the backup position and the PC booted normally. Now I run my PC on the backup BIOS. QUESTION: How can I recover the main BIOS from the backup BIOS? *Resetting the CMOS didn’t restore the functionality of the main BIOS. *Holding CMOS Reset + Power On buttons for 10 seconds, then power on PC - Did not solve the issue.
  14. In the end... I chose the ViewSonic VP2768-4K ColorPro monitor which is amazing in terms of image quality. I’ve never seen a better looking screen. Ever! It has no G-Sync or FreeSync, but I turned on the Nvidia Vertical Sync, and I limited the FPS to 60 (to match the 60Hz of the monitor). Everything works flawlessly! I highly recommend this monitor!
  15. Hello! I own a BenQ PD2700U 4K UHD (3840x2160) monitor. Though the monitor is generally great, it has one issue: the image doesn’t fully fit horizontally on the screen, resulting in 2 thin fuzzy strips on the left & right edges of the panel. If I reduce the horizontal resolution from 3840 to 3802, I remove the issue, but the 10-bit color space drops to 8-bit. Is there a way to drop the resolution, and also maintain the 10-bit color space?
  16. Yeah. It’s a good comparison. In the end, I’ve made my decision: I’ll go with the BenQ PD2700U. It’s a good quality monitor, highly reviewed on YouTube and it’s FreeSync compatible.
  17. Thank you guys for replying. The idea is that I’d like to know opinions about the 3 models that I listed earlier from someone that owns one of them.
  18. Thanks for replying. The idea is that I don’t want a gaming monitor. I want a 27” 4K IPS professional, calibrated, color accurate, monitor at about $500.
  19. UPDATE: Hello! Like I said earlier, I bought a Dell P2415Q 24” 4K monitor. I was thrilled as I got it, but about 2 weeks later I noticed that the screen had some faint horizontal grey lines on the center of the display. That monitor got replaced by another one, of the same model, that had the same issue. Finally I’ve got my money back. Now I’m looking forward to buy one of these 27” 4K monitors: 1. BenQ PD2700U; 2. ViewSonic VP2768-4K; 3. Dell U2720Q. Can anyone make a recommendation?
  20. Thank you guys. Now I understand, GDDR ain’t as DDR, to see frequency/2, but it’s frequency/4.
  21. Hello! I purchased the following used graphics card: Nvidia Asus GeForce CERBERUS-GTX1050TI-A4G (4GB GDDR5). The official specs say that this graphics card’s memory runs at 7008MHz, but in GPU-Z I see only 1752MHz. That’s just a quarter of the advertised speed! Am I missing something here? What is the real speed of this memory?
  22. Deli, that depends on the depth of your desk. In my case a 27” monitor would’ve been too big. I would’ve rotated my eyes from an edge to the other of the panel, especially when doing actual work (not gaming or watching media stuff).
  23. Hello! I recently purchased a new PC monitor: Dell P2415Q (4K, UHD, 23.8”, 3840x2160 @60Hz). This monitor is amazing! It has crystal clear image, with great colour accuracy, good contrast, and the best monitor stand I know of. SCALING IN WINDOWS 10: •As you can imagine, the display is being scaled by Windows by default at 200% (recommended), so items won’t look too small. •All Windows 10 & Microsoft Office tools will take advantage of the scaling immediately. •New programs will take advantage of the scaling immediately. •Some programs won’t take advantage of the scaling by default, but they can be fixed by editing program properties, and changing “High DPI settings” (example: Propellerhead Reason v5.0). •Some older programs won’t work well, no matter what. They’ll either look big & blurry, or clear & tiny (example: Nullsoft Winamp v5.66). Overall, the 4K experience is a positive one. It’s a forward move. PS: I hope this will help someone...
