  1. I am using the most recent BIOS, after some more broad googling there seems to be an AGESA bug in newer BIOSs from all vendors that effect 5900x. Info I found is from around June 2022, my BIOS is from August, will try a slightly older BIOS maybe
  2. According to ryzen Master my TDC does not go above 31% of my 325a limit, meaning it's solid at 100 amps, I am suspecting a bios bug
  3. Using cinebench r23 instead of 3dmark cpu bench I am pulling a max of 120w at 65 C on the cpu
  4. Set my voltages to [AMD OVERCLOCKING] which raised them slightly and now I'm limited to 100w, I believe I am current limited somehow but I am not sure
  5. I tried 1000w ppt 1000a TDC and edc, ryzen master confirmed it Changing the values to 450w for ppt and 325a for both gets me back to 105w limit
  6. I reset cmos and cranked the dials as high as they go, I am now limited to 65 watts, so I'm confused
  7. Motherboard temps are icy cold, mosfets didn't even go above 40 C
  8. B550 MAG tomohawk I increased TDC and EDC, I will run the benchmark again and check motherboard temps
  9. I am running a cpu benchmark, gpu shouldn't be an issue
  10. HWinfo64 and I used ryzenmaster to double check, it runs faster than stock when taxed on less threads but on all threads it is power limited and drops to 3.9-4.0 ghz
  11. Maybe someone else has an idea, I have a 5900x in an msi b550 MAG motherboard on the latest BIOS and noticed my CPU will not use more than 105w no matter what I set in BIOS. I set the total package power limit to 300w in pbo and amd CBS settings, but my cpu will still only use up to 105w. Any ideas? PS temps are staying well under 80 C so it's not a thermal limit My psu is an EVGA 1300w G+ Corsair 360mm aio Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
  12. I dont think anything is wrong, my PC after fresh boot with nothing open uses 3.5-4 GBs of ram just idling in windows 11. The best solution may be to upgrade to 16 GBs of ram if possible Hope this helps
  13. Seeing Linus pretending to play raid casino legends on his phone was disgusting, I understand that in January ad revenue suffers, but accepting a sponsor from a gambling company for their online slot machine veiled with a game is gross. Linus himself said they only took sponsors they believed in, look how hard a time they gave pia during the ownership change. But then LMG allowed RSL without any checks? Must have been a lot of money to sell your morals, and I think they knew how gross it was so they buried it in a cable video hoping less people would see it smh. Probably the first time Ive disliked an LTT video, come on guys, I dont mind the sponsor spots, but dont promote scam garbage.
  14. Alright, damn. Maybe its my cable then as I can't change to 4.2.0, only options I'm given in either amd drivers or cru are 4.2.2 and higher
