  1. Definitely want to change to a more simple color scheme. How are temps on your 13900k? Did you ever benchmark in cinebench or overclock?
  2. I'm playing Hogwarts Legacy and MW2 on it right now with my 32" 1440p 165hz monitor and 75" 4k 120hz samsung tv. Also looking forward to diablo 4. My gf got me the 4090 for christmas and had terrible 1% fps drops with my i7 9700k, so I decided to do a new build.
  3. For sure. I can't really bend the cable too much more and am looking to replace it with a black one that plugs in better but that's kind of hard rn with the current 12vhpwr cables available. I've heard the fasgear ones on amazon work well but a little hesitant to try it out with a $1600 gpu.
  4. My third build. What do you think of it and any recommendations/changes you'd make? 13900K PNY 4090 Asus Z690-E CM PL360 Fluzx AIO TeamGroup 6400MHz DDR5 1TB SN850X 1TB Intel 660P from old build 4TB SN850X EVGA GT 1000W Supernova HAF 700 Beserker Have tried the gpu in regular/vertical mount. Not sure which I like best. Need to get a better cord for it for aesthetics. Some of RGB aren't synced properly.
  5. Saw someone playing hogwarts legacy on youtube at a fixed 6GHz with 13900k. How would you fix the clock speed?
  6. Just want the best single core performance I can get, as a few of the games I play only use one core. So I shouldn't need to do anything for the 5.8ghz turbo? Not new to building but haven't messed around much with this in past builds.
  7. Have the Cooler Master PL360 Flux AIO with Noctua paste in a CM HAF 700 Beserker Case.
  8. Used ASUS AI overclocking for my 13900K as I'm inexperienced with overclocking CPU's. AI Suite 3 shows the CPU is at 6GHz or 6.1GHz but when I run a stress test on Prime 95, the cpu drops to 4.6-4.8GHZ while using around 200-250W. The turbo speed is 5.8GHz, so I'm not really sure why I'm not seeing speeds closer to that at 100% usage. Set the motherboard to allow the CPU to go past intel limits as long as it doesn't exceed 90C. During Prime 95 stress test, it was stable at 78C. Any idea why I'm not seeing the proper cpu speed of at least 5.8GHz? Thinking maybe I should just try to manually overclock myself. Last cpu I had was a 9700K and the Gigabyte motherboard made the process much easier.
  9. For sure, WD is normally my go to. Pretty sure the reason the 4tb black hdd was doa was due to newegg packaging and UPS roughing it up. I just purchased the 4TB SN850X and should be more than enough.
  10. I had a 7200/64mb cache wd black hdd last build and didn't really notice anything either except for long load times in certain games like GTA V
  11. maybe wouldn't be as big of an issue with a 7200 256mb cache hdd
  12. My bad, already have a 1tb sn850x for the OS and have an old intel nvme 1tb drive as well. Was starting to lean towards the 4tb ssd.
  13. Trying to decide between either getting a 2TB SN850X & 4TB WD Black HDD for $310 or 4TB SN850X SSD for $400. Originally was going to go for 2TB SSD & 4TB HDD but the hard drive was DOA when I got it. What would you guys do? Only going to be used for game files.
  14. Looking for a solid cable that has a bit of bend to it for the 4090. I have an EVGA Supernova GT 1000W and PNY 4090. Currently not able to shut the case without the cord smushed up against the glass panel and worried about it possibly melting in the future.
  15. For sure, I just don't want three different programs running just for lights.
  16. lol, I'll have to watch some more youtube tutorials
  17. The only I see from the CM cords is the usb cords that plug into the mobo, didn't see any rgb that plugs into motherboard though
  18. Just put together my new build but am new to setting up rgb. Have a Cooler Master HAF 700 Beserker Case, CM PL360 Flux AIO, Team Force 32GB 6400MHz, Asus Z690-E Strix Motherboard. Trying to get everything synced in one program but there isn't anything from the cooler master case or aio to plug into the rgb header on the motherboard. It just has usb cords that plug into it. Is there a cord I could but to hook up to the case/aio rgb header to plug into the motherboard rgb header or am I better off just using Asus Aura Sync in combination with CoolerMasters software? Motherboard only recognizes the mobo rgb and ram, wheres cooler master software controls the case/aio fans. Think I'll also need PNY's software for the gpu rgb lol. Any thoughts on what I should do?
  19. It's the Gigabyte aorus master bluetooth. For $250 would think it'd be decent bluetooth. I'll try one of my dongles. Thanks :)
  20. Confirmed it's the controller... Tried on my 1440p 144hz monitor. If the controller isn't in direct line of sight or is facing opposite direction of the pc, it goes nuts (even just 3 ft away). Guess I need a wired on then.
  21. i7 9700k 2080 Super 4k on high. Can handle it fine haha. I even changed it to 4k low settings and same issue with Microsoft Xbox One bluetooth controller.
  22. Yes, Battlefront 2 was set to 4k 60hz, with fps counter in corner. I just tried with keyboard and mouse on the 25ft cable and it stayed at 60hz and was smooth... Idk why the controller would cause this issue... no conflicting devices and the game gets super laggy if I get 2ft or more away from the computer. 5ft a way fps drops to 20-40. Get right next to pc and back to 60fps.... wth
  23. Just built pc, is across the room from 4K TV. So bought a 20ft and 25ft 4K 60hz 18GBPS HDMI cables (different brands). Both of them have the same issue, so I'm assuming I need a cable with higher gbps for 4k pc gaming at 60hz? Works fine for 4k video but with games it isn't smooth and it stutters and lags a lot in single player gameplay. What's even weirder, I have an xbox one bluetooth controller and the further away it gets from the pc, the worse the game performs on the tv. Any idea what the hell is going on? My next guess is to try a shorter cable but the controller part is kind of throwing me off...
  24. I've just never really noticed this before on past headsets. It is minor as I've said but annoys me. Random popping/crackling, no matter what eq settings I have. I'd legit pay $300+ for a quality headset that had good battery, comfort, quality audio, etc.
