  1. Textures + view distance + (depending on game) cerain types of post processing but on everything else on minimum, but 1440p is a meme sadly, 4k is actually recognized by hollywood (pedo illuminati?) film producers but is terrible for gaming, 1080p is "low res" but actually what you want since you have 5700 try RIS with 1080p render and RIS tbh, linus has over 5 earings don't worry about his opinion none of my gay friends respect him, he doesn't know what hes talking about, upscale is valid
  2. ya good idea, i have way lower model PowerColor and it only reaches 70c, 75C under actual load your card is a bad time sad time, no good for society, time for organ donation
  3. i had one these, it was bad, it caused many tragedies and maidens sang of the terror and strife which became the village of my gaming
  4. get a cheap 5700 while you can and flash the vbios tbh, they aren't going to be around forever, AMD is chasing margins, but the AIB cards (reference or fan design) still are on market' stop foolin
  5. mazda frustrates me, i consider chassi balance and engine dynamics (torque curve, sound etc) 2 of the most important things, yet its like they intentionally fail in regards to interface. the steering is insanely light, like a 60s chrysler, and the pedals can be used for sporty driving, but aren't meant for it. (i can use a 90s Dodge pickup if need be for heal-toe and theshold braking, doesn't make it intuitive or easy) somehow this is more frustrating to me then automatic, understeering, american crapboxes plz make rear and mid engine economy cars a thing again, im so tired of fwd shit that makes it 70% of the way and then fails as hard as it can in the last 30%, idc make it electric i just want proper interface and feedback .... Ya, i find it fun to take random dudes miatas, drive them for them at autocrosses and scare the crap out of them in their own car, but these cars are so close yet so far, in ways that make no sense, it makes me want to go back to Toyota's that pretend they aren't passionate but actually are(due to say relative chassi balance, engine torque curve with stock cam), this is like being passionate but not caring about actually imporant interface choices, its really god damn annoying, even if its something i don't initially notice in a small brief test drive and hoon on a closed course its annoying as hell IRL. I'd rather my car pretends it doesn't care because its all "oooo im a dumb economy car don't mind me" rather then "im a sporty economy car, that is well balanced etc" but makes NO SENSE in regards to things that no basic tuner can fix, nobody can fix steering feel, pedal placement if feasible but not convenient to fix, why does Mazda do this. To their credit most under-rated cars on the market so far as reliability.
  6. give me anime to watch ! lowkey i like rewatching classics more but maybe somebody can suggest something new and good, kinda haven't felt like much since that year with the dragon maid and the blendy-s memes. Where is Blend-S season 2 i wanna see the cute guy and the doujin women get all ooga booga on eachother, i know its in the manga
  7. Guy who did MadMax Fury Road soundtrack 1.5 decades before said movie Comedy Song, sorta (start at 2:20 for medium length funky version, 3:50ish for short metal version)... you'll get what i mean if you listen to end bit 1996-ish Likewise he worked with same guitarist from band above on his first album, notably this If the pop-newmetal-rap doesn't work for you skip to 8:02 for more traditionally EDM shit (1997)
  8. thanks my guy honestly i feel bad about it, i don't mind people, and i feel shit if i lead people in the wrong directionm but im a dumb david bowie not a freddie mercury. i honestly wish for the day it just doesn't matter because i haven't met nicer and deeper people to hang out with then usually those in the lgbt communtiy, even if it isn't a scene i should call my own, there is some sense of trying to find one owns way in a broken world i relate to if nothing else, just feels poopy when doing so could sadly break a friends trust, expectations, etc.
  9. this thread sucks because (obviously) yaoi/boys love isn't allowed on this forum, can't even post the fun memes
  10. I'm just here to say as somebody looking for ability to play modern games while driving a 144hz monitor, a budget 5700 with a flashed vbios is crazy nice deal (290-330$) For a used market/extreme budget person, i'd say just get a used 1070 though. (200-240$) there is some weird inconsistencies in this video but i don't want to poke at it, however i will because linus's chin is making me angry, its soooo angular. A 2060 isn't even comparable to to a 5700, let alone a Super version if comparing flashed 5700. NVENC encoder is great but likewise at that price range likely one is using a CPU that can handle any sort of CPU based encoding (x264 for nvidea or x265 for amd), so this is just weird to recommend a 2060 vs a 5700 when they aren't even on same potential tier, just looking at graphics. There are cases where this could make sense, like the 1650 Super where buying a modern card with the most recent NVENC encoder makes sense given a probable budget CPU it will pair with, somebody on such budget could use it, but a 2060 is basically like asking to get mugged, beaten, and pee-pee'd on, why and how is that a good thing? I too am into leather, but i cannot stomach this much abuse. Please fire linus and let anthony, james, and riley take over the channel already, linus was sensible in like 2015 but i bet he couldn't even identify a good sonic rush track if you pressed him for it these days, its sad. Linus is like a bird who keeps picking at his feathers yet people watch him in awe, sad but fixated on him, and even if it gets clicks nobody wants to see that. Let him become a free bird!, its been too long, fly away free bird ?....i wrote all this before linus even started semi-supporting some dumb SLI none-sense despite the fact its long and dead and has been for over a year weather some stupid (always short term at best) beta Nvidea nonesense could help with it, let it rest god dangggg. Please let him out of the cage, i am scared for him, Yvonne and the kids need him. The king is dead, long live the new king
  11. find motherboards official page, support tab, check QVL, reference DRAMs module ID
  12. 3600 is way better for actual gaming, if that was your intent. If gaming wasn't your intent i'd usher you towards it just because its easier to find DRAM for, Ryzen 2000 compatability issues likely means you'll overspend for worse performing ram. That said if you had DDR4 laying around 3000-3200 speed which was already on QVL for mobo you were looking for + Ryzen 2000 you can get within like 10%ish of 3600, and would be more ideal for streaming, a few applications like video editing arguably. Examples of some nice cheap, high speed ram 99% of Ryzen 3000cpus and mobos will XMP happily with. https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232880?Description=3600 ripjaws&cm_re=3600_ripjaws-_-20-232-880-_-Product https://www.newegg.com/oloy-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820821145?Description=oloy 3600&cm_re=oloy_3600-_-20-821-145-_-Product https://www.newegg.com/oloy-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820821167?Description=oloy 3600&cm_re=oloy_3600-_-20-821-167-_-Product
  13. So i have been playing with underclocking CPU because i noticed its decent way to mitigate overt gpu utilization/heat when i don't need it in some old games where fps is already exceedingly high (350+), and driver based frame caps or ingame caps aren't viable. however i am trying to figure out best way to check for stability. One test i have been doing is hot-runs at max all-core 1.325v at highest stable frequency in CB R20, let CPU saturate at about 70C+ then if i apply change to voltage and clockspeed as CPU is still a bit warm, if the voltage is too low the computer will immediately crash (black screen, restart. No BSOD or anything, restarts a if completely normal restart) However i wonder if this level of stability is not called for as i had seemingly stable (hard to tell) at much lower voltages while CPU Temps were kept cooler due to said lower voltage. Difference of running 1.0-1.1V seemingly stable (no hot runs) and max temps staying below 48C and 55C respectively even after repeated runs, vs 1.2v seemingly the most stable where operating temps are roughly 60C (will not crash when swapping to it immediately after hot runs at 1.325v). Currently i am trying to find ideal, perfectly stable but cool as possible undervolt for 3600mhz on a Zen 2 CPU. Any opinions or advice? Am i over-doing it as said undervolts will never see such high temps? Stability>all else though.
  14. Riva works fantastically for increasing quality of frame-time pacing, but the input latency hit is pretty severe compared to a correctly configured system, sadly. Built-in FPS limits for any said game, or GPU driver based FPS limiters like Radeon Chill or FPS Target are vastly superior in regards to not adding additional input latency (like 3ms with GPU driver based stuff vs 20-30ms with Riva, in CSGO adding 20-30ms would often mean doubling input latency). Potentially, but i'd get a system that can actually acheive good enough minimums and averages first. My Guess is your 1600x is holding back the entire build, but could be issues like excessive backround processes, which is usually the biggest single thing none-hardware related that can hamper 1% and 0.1% lows. Otherwise your specs seem reasonable, you could try a mild CPU overclock if backround processes aren't a issue and you have thermal headroom. Likewise, don't know pricing as they are yet to exist, but likely will in the next year, but if any OLED 120hz-144hz 1080p panels come out at similar prices to 240hz panels they will likely be superior, in reaction and fast paced games what is critical isn't the HZ but the input lag, actual response time/clearness/lack of motion blur and OLED seems to be the clearest way to get back to the CRT days of super responsive and clear gaming. Look for actual reviews of a any monitor before buying it (Techspot, Display Ninja etc.) Most advertised specs, "1ms Response Time" are bullshit. They advertise best case scenarios in monitor modes nobody would use due to extreme ghosting occuring in said mode, what is critical is how fast it can actually go without ghosting, but nobody advertises that number, only reviewers usually give insight into those specs. In last regard, there are likely 144hz monitors that are superior to 200-240hz monitors, if the actual response times are inferior, and the input lag likewise isn't superior, you aren't getting a benefit from it. But almost all TN 240hz monitors are fairly top notch in this regard, with exception of the weird 200$ Acer KG251Q 240hz MicroCenter thing (extra odd cause 144hz Acer KG251Q is great TN monitor from what i know.) https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?t=4576
  15. that would be fantastic, but all indications are after recent calls with shareholders AMD (Radeon) is going to consistently charge as much as they can get away with, atleast this is what smarter people then me have been saying who pay attention to this stuff. If we are lucky it will come in at >270$ so it atleast properly competes with the 1660ti, albeit nothing special, no value added really, but at this sort of midrange area honestly people are just gonna keep recommending the 1660 Super unless they place the 5600XT closer to 230$ then 270$ while it outpaces both these, people still default to Nvidea, AMD is seen as bit of a risk by most consumers, even if unfairly. I'm not holding my breathe they will bring good value after the 5500xt pricing disaster. If we cut it straight between the 170$ 550xt 4gb and base 5700 at 350$, we're still at 260$, that would be acceptable, but not gonna shake up the market, not like the 290-320$ 5700s actually were, atleast before AMD decided to stop selling discounted dies to AIBs If you want proper value get a discounted XFX RX 5700 DD Ultra or Reference RX 5700 while you can. Its very likely pricing is just going to get worse for the foreseeable future. https://www.amazon.com/XFX-1750MHz-Express-Graphics-Rx-57XL8LBD6/dp/B07XVMXBQW/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=rx+5700&qid=1577240106&sr=8-2 https://www.newegg.com/asrock-radeon-rx-5700-rx5700-8g/p/N82E16814930019?Item=N82E16814930019&Description=5700&cm_re=5700-_-14-930-019-_-Product etc
  16. The RX590 is occasionally priced very well, like 170-180$ish, but if you can afford a 1660 (super) and source one for 200-230$ it is the superior card, and imo worth the extra 30$ as the performance scales pretty well for the extra 10-15% cost over the RX590 (as in it actually performs about 10-15% better, especially if OC is considered). For 300-500$ i recommend all AMD, but below 300$ Nvidea is still killing it, atleast for now, maybe the 5600XT will change things if its not priced stupid. Until you drop down to about >150$, about 125$, and the rx570 comes into play the budget end is all Nvidea right now, region depending, but in most cases. I've owned RX590 for about a month, and something maybe not seen in benchmarks but personally had issue with was the card seemed more so then many others i've owned to be "nearly maxed out," as in you couldn't OC it much at all, which for me weighs partly into my conclusion the 1660 is usually better choice. That said RX590 isn't a bad card, so if you end up with one don't feel bad about it. I'm not 100% on this but was atleast my impression with it, i could of just been bad at OCing with Polaris architecture though, didn't spend too much time trying as it didn't take nicely to it.
  17. My best advice when you can't afford a upgrade is to backup all your files, do a clean windows install to clear out whatever mess has built up in regards to backround processes, registry errors etc, then once reinstalled do everything you can to eliminate backround processes you don't need (turn off backround apps in privacy settings, maybe even get 'Shut Up Windows 10' and aggressively turn off stuff you don't use), the average frame-rates usually stay similar but you can see massive increases in frame minimums (1% and 0.1% lows), reduced stuttering etc, which honestly is the most irritating thing on older systems Reinstall OS or not, going as far as you can to just clean up backround processes goes a long way
  18. Like 10 at a time, run it for awhile in a few games/benchmarks etc, then bump it up like 5ish mv at a time once you start running into issues Sorry for double post*
  19. What is your current voltage? If it was by default around 1150-1175mv that is pretty standard for 5700XT at 1975ish clocks, i've seen some people get as low as 1100ish (usually around 1115), but ofc silicon lottery and all. Personally i have to run about 1157-1161 on 5700 with XT vbios. The main thing is on some cards it will try to default to like 1.2V and that is almost never called for, unless you have the worst of the worst silicon, or have a waterblock on the card and tempuratures to make use of higher clockspeeds while at low temps
  20. Keep in mind both 100% GPU utilization as well as going in and out of Freesync or Gysnc range (if you use either) cause extra input latency (Check Battle(none)sense videos out, he has a few vids on these sort of things) so mild frame caps (say locking to 135fps with 144hz monitor) actually are helpful on majority of modern games that can utilize 100% gpu Anyways good luck if you do build a system, it would be a bit of work and i suppose if for no other reason then you could likely sell the 3770 system for a bit of $ cost ya more, but atleast from what i have seen, nobody who builds a duel-pc streaming setup goes back to single system streaming if they can avoid it, its just too valuable in regards to QOL.
  21. i didn't go to school for this subject, and not claiming any expertise, so feel free to correct me just don't beat me up, just commenting for fun, not claiming to be any expert. IIRC Birds give some interesting incites into how quick evolution can be, i forget which example it was but there was some species that completely changed when stuck in the wrong geography (i think it was a species that migrated to some small island) in only a few decades. Sure they likely have much quicker birthrate then humans, but iirc something like 19 generations of humans (something like 500 years) one group can completely change in build, looks etc, i think Gaad Saad was commenting on this in one of his videos (sadly no clue which one, as likely it had a example which one could cite, so ya, big pinch of salt) I think there is more and more evidence natural selection isn't the only means for evolutionary change at this point, but it is the most easily provable, fundamental. Epigenetics has hinted at some cool potential stuff, and may be a bigger deal then we initially thought. Again big salt, im just playing with the subject
  22. i don't remember making this thread, think i was drinking, but seems to have turned out okay so guess i won't worry about it.
  23. One of the best XTs, should run nice, cool, and quiet ?
